For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror;

因为听道而不行道的，就像人对着镜子看自己本来的面目，

因为只听道而不行道的，就像人对着镜子观看自己本来的面目，

因为只听道而不行道的，就像人对着镜子观看自己本来的面目，

因为人听道而不行道，就像照镜子一样，

因为人若只作听道的人，不作行道的人，他就像一个人对着镜子看自己本来的面貌，

因为，如果有人是这话语的听者，而不是实行者，这个人就像人对着镜子观看自己生来的面貌，

因為聽道而不行道的，就像人對着鏡子看自己本來的面目，

因為只聽道而不行道的，就像人對着鏡子觀看自己本來的面目，

因為只聽道而不行道的，就像人對着鏡子觀看自己本來的面目，

因為人聽道而不行道，就像照鏡子一樣，

因為人若只作聽道的人，不作行道的人，他就像一個人對著鏡子看自己本來的面貌，

因為人若只是聽道、而不實行，就像一個人用鏡子察看自己生來的面貌。

因為，如果有人是這話語的聽者，而不是實行者，這個人就像人對著鏡子觀看自己生來的面貌，

蓋聞道而不行者、猶人觀本來面目於鏡、

聞而不行者、譬人以鏡鑒面、

蓋聞道而不行者、譬諸人以鏡觀己之本來面目、

若是之人、猶如以鑑自照、

Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror

Suppose someone listens to the word but doesn’t do what it says. Then they are like a person who looks at their face in a mirror.

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror.

For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror.

Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like someone looking at his own face in a mirror.

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;

For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a mirror:

Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his own face in a mirror.

For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

For if someone merely listens to the message and does not live it out, he is like someone who gazes at his own face in a mirror.

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror;

And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.And the rain fell and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell— and its collapse was great.”

What use is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone says he has faith, but he has no works? Can that faith save him?If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food,and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?In the same way, faith also, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.But someone may well say,“ You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.But are you willing to acknowledge, you foolish person, that faith without works is useless?Was our father Abraham not justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar?You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected;and the Scripture was fulfilled which says,“ And Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called a friend of God.You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.In the same way, was Rahab the prostitute not justified by works also when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way?For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

And they come to you as people come, and sit before you as My people and hear your words, but they do not do them; for they do the lustful desires expressed by their mouth, and their heart follows their unlawful gain.And behold, you are to them like a love song by one who has a beautiful voice and plays well on an instrument; for they hear your words but they do not practice them.

Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like:

“ As for the message that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we are not going to listen to you!

Now the scribes and the Pharisees were watching Him closely to see if He healed on the Sabbath, so that they might find a reason to accuse Him.
