故宜去諸污穢惡慝、以謙和承所種之道、即能救爾靈者、

道栽培於心、祗承以救爾魂、

故當去諸污穢及諸邪惡、謙遜而受所種於爾心之道、即能救爾靈魂之道、

是故爾宜滌瑕盪穢、徹私去蔽、以謙誠溫和之意、領受其所植於爾心田之聖道。惟斯道能全爾靈。

Dear friends, I urge you as strangers and temporary residents to abstain from fleshly desires that war against you.

So rid yourselves of all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all slander.

Therefore, put to death what belongs to your worldly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.Because of these, God’s wrath comes on the disobedient,and you once walked in these things when you were living in them.But now you must also put away all the following: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy language from your mouth.

Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us,

Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, double-minded people!

The humble will have joy after joy in the Lord, and the poor people will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

You are also saved by it, if you hold to the message I proclaimed to you— unless you believed for no purpose.

how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first spoken by the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him.

Throw off all the transgressions you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. Why should you die, house of Israel?
