Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,

My brothers and sisters, you will face all kinds of trouble. When you do, think of it as pure joy.

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.

Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials,

Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials,

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,

Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into manifold temptations;

Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials,

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

My brothers and sisters, consider it nothing but joy when you fall into all sorts of trials,

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations,

In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith— of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire— may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, (niv)

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. (niv)

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.“ Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. But he said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (niv)

Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.“ Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets. (niv)

For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, (niv)

Now if we are children, then we are heirs— heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (niv)

if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment. (niv)

Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown. (niv)

The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name. (niv)

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?As it is written:“ For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. (niv)

Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment.They were put to death by stoning; they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated—the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground. (niv)

But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. (niv)
