Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?

Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying,“ I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

“ For I, Yahweh, don’t change; therefore you, sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.

For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.

The earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep and God’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.God said,“ Let there be light,” and there was light.God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness.God called the light“ day”, and the darkness he called“ night”. There was evening and there was morning, the first day.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared,not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,

for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn’t receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

God said,“ Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs to mark seasons, days, and years;and let them be for lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth;” and it was so.

He changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings, and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to those who have understanding.He reveals the deep and secret things. He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

May Yahweh give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Israel; that so you may keep the law of Yahweh your God.

I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all kinds of workmanship,to devise skillful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze,and in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all kinds of workmanship.Behold, I myself have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of all who are wise- hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded you:

They will perish, but you continue. They all will grow old like a garment does.You will roll them up like a mantle, and they will be changed; but you are the same. Your years won’t fail.”

There will be no night, and they need no lamp light or sun light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever.

The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.

The city has no need for the sun or moon to shine, for the very glory of God illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying,“ It isn’t in me. God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”

Also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent; for he is not a man, that he should repent.”

seeing it is God who said,“ Light will shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

We also all once lived among them in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved—

having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us: if prophecy, let’s prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;or service, let’s give ourselves to service; or he who teaches, to his teaching;or he who exhorts, to his exhorting; he who gives, let him do it with generosity; he who rules, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord.There are various kinds of workings, but the same God, who works all things in all.But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all.For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;to another faith, by the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, by the same Spirit;and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discerning of spirits; to another different kinds of languages; and to another the interpretation of languages.But the one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing to each one separately as he desires.For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.

Daniel answered before the king, and said,“ The secret which the king has demanded can’t be shown to the king by wise men, enchanters, magicians, or soothsayers;but there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and he has made known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head on your bed, are these:“ As for you, O king, your thoughts came on your bed, what should happen hereafter; and he who reveals secrets has made known to you what will happen.But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but to the intent that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your heart.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

The sun will be no more your light by day; nor will the brightness of the moon give light to you, but Yahweh will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.

Therefore he says,“ When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to people.”Now this,“ He ascended”, what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers;

God exalted him with his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and remission of sins.

and give to Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for which I have made provision.”

The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.Day after day they pour out speech, and night after night they display knowledge.There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,which is as a bridegroom coming out of his room, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course.His going out is from the end of the heavens, his circuit to its ends. There is nothing hidden from its heat.Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s covenant is sure, making wise the simple.Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.For as you in time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtained mercy by their disobedience,

I will come down and talk with you there. I will take of the Spirit which is on you, and will put it on them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you don’t bear it yourself alone.

and lest you lift up your eyes to the sky, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the army of the sky, you are drawn away and worship them, and serve them, which Yahweh your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole sky.

He answered them,“ To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance, but whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.

Pharaoh said to his servants,“ Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?”Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ Because God has shown you all of this, there is no one so discreet and wise as you.

When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying,“ Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life!”

I declare the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done. I say: My counsel will stand, and I will do all that I please.

God said to Solomon,“ Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, nor yet have you asked for long life; but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king,therefore wisdom and knowledge is granted to you. I will give you riches, wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had who have been before you had, and none after you will have.”

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Those who love you will prosper.

“ Bezalel and Oholiab shall work with every wise- hearted man, in whom Yahweh has put wisdom and understanding to know how to do all the work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that Yahweh has commanded.”Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab, and every wise- hearted man, in whose heart Yahweh had put wisdom, even everyone whose heart stirred him up to come to the work to do it.

At that time, Jesus answered,“ I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you hid these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to infants.Yes, Father, for so it was well- pleasing in your sight.

Yahweh said to him,“ Who made man’s mouth? Or who makes one mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Isn’t it I, Yahweh?Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall speak.”

I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create calamity. I am Yahweh, who does all these things.

Yahweh came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was on him, and put it on the seventy elders. When the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied, but they did so no more.

For his God instructs him in right judgment and teaches him.

Because it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf,

This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic.
