If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him.

God is not a man, that he might lie, or a son of man, that he might change his mind. Does he speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill?

Jesus spoke to them again:“ I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.”

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretense.

“ Because I, the LORD, have not changed, you descendants of Jacob have not been destroyed.

For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

For the LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD grants favor and honor; he does not withhold the good from those who live with integrity.

Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the surface of the watery depths, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.Then God said,“ Let there be light,” and there was light.God saw that the light was good, and God separated the light from the darkness.God called the light“ day,” and the darkness he called“ night.” There was an evening, and there was a morning: one day.

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

He changes the times and seasons; he removes kings and establishes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.He reveals the deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with him.

Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Above all, may the LORD give you insight and understanding when he puts you in charge of Israel so that you may keep the law of the LORD your God.

I have filled him with God’s Spirit, with wisdom, understanding, and ability in every craftto design artistic works in gold, silver, and bronze,to cut gemstones for mounting, and to carve wood for work in every craft.I have also selected Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to be with him. I have put wisdom in the heart of every skilled artisan in order to make all that I have commanded you:

they will perish, but you remain. They will all wear out like clothing;you will roll them up like a cloak, and they will be changed like clothing. But you are the same, and your years will never end.

Night will be no more; people will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord God will give them light, and they will reign forever and ever.

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God illuminates it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

“ I am not able to,” Joseph answered Pharaoh.“ It is God who will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”

Furthermore, the Eternal One of Israel does not lie or change his mind, for he is not man who changes his mind.”

For God who said,“ Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ.

We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also.But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us,made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!

According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts: If prophecy, use it according to the proportion of one’s faith;if service, use it in service; if teaching, in teaching;if exhorting, in exhortation; giving, with generosity; leading, with diligence; showing mercy, with cheerfulness.

Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.There are different ministries, but the same Lord.And there are different activities, but the same God works all of them in each person.A manifestation of the Spirit is given to each person for the common good:to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit, to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit,to another, faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit,to another, the performing of miracles, to another, prophecy, to another, distinguishing between spirits, to another, different kinds of tongues, to another, interpretation of tongues.One and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as he wills.For just as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body— so also is Christ.

Daniel answered the king,“ No wise man, medium, magician, or diviner is able to make known to the king the mystery he asked about.But there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has let King Nebuchadnezzar know what will happen in the last days. Your dream and the visions that came into your mind as you lay in bed were these:Your Majesty, while you were in your bed, thoughts came to your mind about what will happen in the future. The revealer of mysteries has let you know what will happen.As for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because I have more wisdom than anyone living, but in order that the interpretation might be made known to the king, and that you may understand the thoughts of your mind.

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God— who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly— and it will be given to him.

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the expanse proclaims the work of his hands.Day after day they pour out speech; night after night they communicate knowledge.There is no speech; there are no words; their voice is not heard.Their message has gone out to the whole earth, and their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun.It is like a bridegroom coming from his home; it rejoices like an athlete running a course.It rises from one end of the heavens and circles to their other end; nothing is hidden from its heat.The instruction of the LORD is perfect, renewing one’s life; the testimony of the LORD is trustworthy, making the inexperienced wise.The precepts of the LORD are right, making the heart glad; the command of the LORD is radiant, making the eyes light up.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

since God’s gracious gifts and calling are irrevocable.As you once disobeyed God but now have received mercy through their disobedience,

Then I will come down and speak with you there. I will take some of the Spirit who is on you and put the Spirit on them. They will help you bear the burden of the people, so that you do not have to bear it by yourself.

When you look to the heavens and see the sun, moon, and stars— all the stars in the sky— do not be led astray to bow in worship to them and serve them. The LORD your God has provided them for all people everywhere under heaven.

He answered,“ Because the secrets of the kingdom of heaven have been given for you to know, but it has not been given to them.For whoever has, more will be given to him, and he will have more than enough; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

and he said to them,“ Can we find anyone like this, a man who has God’s spirit in him?”So Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one as discerning and wise as you are.

When they heard this they became silent. And they glorified God, saying,“ So then, God has given repentance resulting in life even to the Gentiles.”

I declare the end from the beginning, and from long ago what is not yet done, saying: my plan will take place, and I will do all my will.

God said to Solomon,“ Since this was in your heart, and you have not requested riches, wealth, or glory, or for the life of those who hate you, and you have not even requested long life, but you have requested for yourself wisdom and knowledge that you may judge my people over whom I have made you king,wisdom and knowledge are given to you. I will also give you riches, wealth, and glory, unlike what was given to the kings who were before you, or will be given to those after you.”

Pray for the well-being of Jerusalem:“ May those who love you be secure;

Bezalel, Oholiab, and all the skilled people are to work based on everything the LORD has commanded. The LORD has given them wisdom and understanding to know how to do all the work of constructing the sanctuary.”So Moses summoned Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skilled person in whose heart the LORD had placed wisdom, all whose hearts moved them, to come to the work and do it.

At that time Jesus said,“ I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to infants.Yes, Father, because this was your good pleasure.

The LORD said to him,“ Who placed a mouth on humans? Who makes a person mute or deaf, seeing or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?Now go! I will help you speak and I will teach you what to say.”

I form light and create darkness, I make success and create disaster; I am the LORD, who does all these things.

Then the LORD descended in the cloud and spoke to him. He took some of the Spirit who was on Moses and placed the Spirit on the seventy elders. As the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied, but they never did it again.

His God teaches him order; he instructs him.

For it has been granted to you on Christ’s behalf not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him,

Such wisdom does not come down from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.
