Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

When these desires are allowed to remain, they lead to sin. And when sin is allowed to remain and grow, it leads to death.

Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.

Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death.

Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it has run its course, brings forth death.

None sueth in righteousness, and none pleadeth in truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

Therefore, as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death passed unto all men, for that all sinned:—for until the law sin was in the world; but sin is not imputed when there is no law.Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the likeness of Adam’s transgression, who is a figure of him that was to come.But not as the trespass, so also is the free gift. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound unto the many.And not as through one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment came of one unto condemnation, but the free gift came of many trespasses unto justification.For if, by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; much more shall they that receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, even Jesus Christ.So then as through one trespass the judgment came unto all men to condemnation; even so through one act of righteousness the free gift came unto all men to justification of life.For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one shall the many be made righteous.And the law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace did abound more exceedingly:that, as sin reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Woe to them that devise iniquity and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.And they covet fields, and seize them; and houses, and take them away: and they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks, neither shall ye walk haughtily; for it is an evil time.

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat; and she gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat.

What fruit then had ye at that time in the things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.But now being made free from sin and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end eternal life.For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,and kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thy heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he: take him.And straightway he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, Rabbi; and kissed him.And Jesus said unto him, Friend, do that for which thou art come. Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.And behold, one of them that were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and smote the servant of the high priest, and struck off his ear.Then saith Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into its place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.Or thinkest thou that I cannot beseech my Father, and he shall even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?How then should the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?In that hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a robber with swords and staves to seize me? I sat daily in the temple teaching, and ye took me not.But all this is come to pass, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples left him, and fled.And they that had taken Jesus led him away to the house of Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were gathered together.But Peter followed him afar off, unto the court of the high priest, and entered in, and sat with the officers, to see the end.Now the chief priests and the whole council sought false witness against Jesus, that they might put him to death;

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in toil shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

but unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.And Jehovah said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?If thou doest well, shall it not be lifted up? and if thou doest not well, sin coucheth at the door: and unto thee shall be its desire; but do thou rule over it.And Cain told Abel his brother. And it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

The wicked shall be turned back unto Sheol, Even all the nations that forget God.

Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,

And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, even the lake of fire.And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
