All the people— Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria— will know it. They will say with pride and arrogance:

直到這眾民都體驗到，以法蓮和撒瑪利亞的居民都明白；因為他們憑驕傲、憑自大之心而說：

以法蓮和住撒馬利亞的眾民知道了，就心思自高自大，說：

維此眾庶、以法蓮與撒瑪利亞居民將知之、彼心驕氣傲、曰、

使以法蓮、撒馬利亞居民、無不共知、彼心驕志傲、常自言曰、

使眾百姓、以法蓮及撒瑪利亞居民悉知之、彼心驕氣傲、常自言曰、

All the people will know it— Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria— who say with pride and arrogance of heart,

All the people will know about it. Ephraim’s people and those who live in Samaria will know about it. Their hearts are very proud. They say,

and all the people will know, Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria, who say in pride and in arrogance of heart:

And the people of Israel and Samaria, who spoke with such pride and arrogance, will soon know it.

All the people— Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria— will know it. They will say with pride and arrogance,

And all the people know it, That is, Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria, Asserting in pride and in arrogance of heart:

And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in pride and in stoutness of heart,

And all the people shall know,[ even] Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,

All the people were aware of it, the people of Ephraim and those living in Samaria. Yet with pride and an arrogant attitude, they said,

All the people will know, including Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria, who say in pride and in arrogance of heart,

Listen to me, you hardhearted, far removed from justice:

God reserves a person’s punishment for his children. Let God repay the person himself, so that he may know it.Let his own eyes see his demise; let him drink from the Almighty’s wrath!

Those who escape the sword will return from the land of Egypt to the land of Judah only few in number, and the whole remnant of Judah, the ones going to the land of Egypt to live there for a while, will know whose word stands, Mine or theirs!This will be a sign to you’— this is the Lord’s declaration—‘ that I am about to punish you in this place, so you may know that My words of disaster concerning you will certainly come to pass.

Look! Siege ramps have come against the city to capture it, and the city, as a result of the sword, famine, and plague, has been handed over to the Chaldeans who are fighting against it. What You have spoken has happened. Look, You can see it!

In the same way, you younger men, be subject to the elders. And all of you clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.

So I will execute judgments against Egypt, and they will know that I am Yahweh.

I will not look on you with pity or spare you. I will punish you for your ways and for your detestable practices within you. Then you will know that it is I, Yahweh, who strikes.

Pride comes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall.

“ Your words against Me are harsh,” says the Lord. Yet you ask:“ What have we spoken against You?”

Isn’t Calno like Carchemish? Isn’t Hamath like Arpad? Isn’t Samaria like Damascus?As my hand seized the idolatrous kingdoms, whose idols exceeded those of Jerusalem and Samaria,and as I did to Samaria and its idols will I not also do to Jerusalem and its idols?”

“ For indeed, the day is coming, burning like a furnace, when all the arrogant and everyone who commits wickedness will become stubble. The coming day will consume them,” says the Lord of Hosts,“ not leaving them root or branches.

Because I know that you are stubborn, and your neck is iron and your forehead bronze,

The head of Aram is Damascus, the head of Damascus is Rezin( within 65 years Ephraim will be too shattered to be a people),the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you do not stand firm in your faith, then you will not stand at all.

Lord, Your hand is lifted up to take action, but they do not see it. They will see Your zeal for Your people, and they will be put to shame. The fire for Your adversaries will consume them!

Yet when it comes— and it will definitely come— then they will know that a prophet has been among them.”

The king will mourn; the prince will be clothed in grief; and the hands of the people of the land will tremble. I will deal with them according to their own conduct, and I will judge them by their own standards. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.

Micaiah replied,“ You will soon see when you go to hide yourself in an inner chamber on that day.”
