起來，發光哦！因為你的光已經來到，永恆主的榮耀已經昇現照耀着你。因為你看，黑暗遮蓋着大地呢，幽暗籠罩着萬國之民呢；但永恆主卻要昇現照耀着你，他的榮耀必顯現來照着你。萬國必來就你的光，列王必來就你昇現之光輝。

永恆主就領了他們從幽暗漆黑中出來，掙開他們的捆綁。

有人坐在幽暗漆黑中，被困苦和鐵鍊捆鎖着，

但一切事受了訐發、都是被光所顯露；凡被顯露的便是光。所以說：『睡着的人哪，醒起來吧，從死人中復起，基督就光照你了。』

你們中間誰是敬畏永恆主、聽從他僕人之話的？誰是在黑暗中行，沒有亮光的、讓他倚靠永恆主的名，依賴他自己的上帝吧。

就使我行於漆黑之低谷中，我也不怕遭害；因為是你和我同在；你的棍你的杖、都安慰我。

但那受過困苦的必不再在烏暗中。先前時候上帝使西布倫地和拿弗他利地被輕看，後來卻使這沿海的道路、約但河外、外國人的加利利得到光榮。

我的仇敵啊，你不要因着我而沾沾自喜！我雖然跌倒了，卻要起來；我雖坐在黑暗裏，永恆主卻做我的光。因為我犯罪得罪了永恆主，永恆主的震怒、我必擔受，直到他為我的案件而伸訴，他維護我的權利；那時他必領我出去、到亮光中，我就得見他的義氣。

耶穌就對他們說：『光在你們中間、還有些時。應當趁着有光時來走路，免得黑暗趕上了你們。那在黑暗中走路的、不知道往哪裏去。

在往而不返之先，往黑暗死蔭之地以先，稍有喜色。
