因了萬軍之永恆主的暴怒、地都被燒燬；人民都成了燒火的燃料，沒有人顧惜自己的弟兄。

By the wrath of the Lord Almighty the land will be scorched and the people will be fuel for the fire; they will not spare one another.

The Lord rules over all. When he gets angry, he will burn up the land. The people will burn in the fire. They will not spare one another.

Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts the land is scorched, and the people are like fuel for the fire; no one spares another.

The land will be blackened by the fury of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. The people will be fuel for the fire, and no one will spare even his own brother.

The land is scorched by the wrath of the LORD of Armies, and the people are like fuel for the fire. No one has compassion on his brother.

堅貞之士都從國中滅絕了，人類中都沒有正直的了；人人都埋伏着要流人的血；各人都用網羅獵取弟兄。

因為兒子辱沒着父親，女兒起來忤逆着母親，兒媳婦忤逆着婆婆；人的仇敵就是他自己家裏的人。

從中午十二點起，那地方都佈滿了黑暗，直到下午三點。

日頭必變成黑暗，月亮必變成血，在主的日子、大而顯赫之日、未到以前。

永恆主你們的上帝還未使黑暗來到，你們的腳還未在昏暗山上碰跌之先，當你們盼望有光之時，他使光變為漆黑，使光成為幽暗之先，你們要承認榮耀屬於永恆主你們的上帝。

因為你看，黑暗遮蓋着大地呢，幽暗籠罩着萬國之民呢；但永恆主卻要昇現照耀着你，他的榮耀必顯現來照着你。

有權勢的必如麻絲屑，他所作的工好像火星；二者都必一概焚燬，沒有人能撲滅。

當那日子、他們必向這地咆吼着，就像海嘯之嘩嘩；人若望着這地，就只見黑暗災難；亮光在雲霧中都變為黑暗了。

一個黑暗墨黑的日子，一個密雲暗霧的日子，像烏黑鋪滿着山嶺的是一團隊蝗蟲、又大又強盛；從來沒有這樣的，以後也不會再有，直到萬代萬年。

看吧，永恆主的日子來到，必有殘忍、震怒和烈怒，使這地荒涼，並從其中除滅重罪的人。

因此在萬軍之永恆主的震怒中，當他發怒的日子，天必震動，地必搖撼、離其本位。

我聽得到他對其餘的人說：『要跟着他走遍城裏，以行擊殺；你們的眼不可顧惜，你們不要可憐。

少年人的弓、他們必折斷，婦人所生的、他們不憐憫，他們的眼不顧惜小孩。

他們把臉一轉，仰觀上天，又俯察下地；唉，盡是艱難黑暗、困苦之烏暗，盡被趕入於墨黑的幽暗中。

那渴望着永恆主之日子的有禍啊！你們為甚麼要永恆主的日子呢？那日子究竟是黑暗，不是亮光呀：

街上因無酒而有呼喊之聲；一切喜樂都已過去；地上的娛樂盡被擄掠。城中剩下的只是荒涼，城門被撞得七零八落。

因此大地被咒詛所吞滅，上頭的居民擔受了罪罰；因此地上的居民被燒焦，剩下的人很少。

上帝既不愛惜犯了罪的天使，反而給丟在地獄，送到幽冥的坑子裏，拘留着等候審判。
