By the wrath of the Lord Almighty the land will be scorched and the people will be fuel for the fire; they will not spare one another.

The Lord rules over all. When he gets angry, he will burn up the land. The people will burn in the fire. They will not spare one another.

The land will be blackened by the fury of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. The people will be fuel for the fire, and no one will spare even his own brother.

虔敬的人从地上灭绝了，人间也没有正直的人，人人都埋伏着要流人的血，各人都用网罗猎取自己的兄弟。

儿子藐视父亲，女儿抗拒母亲，媳妇与婆婆作对；人的仇敌就是自己的家人。

从正午到下午三点钟，遍地都黑暗了。

太阳将变为黑暗，月亮将变为血红，在主伟大显赫的日子临到以前，这一切都要发生。

耶和华你们的神还没有使黑暗临到以前，你们的脚还没有在昏暗的山上绊倒之前，你们要把荣耀归给他。你们期待光明，他却把光明变为死荫，使光明变成黝黑。

看哪！黑暗遮盖大地，幽暗遮蔽万民；但耶和华要升起来照耀你，他的荣耀要彰显在你身上。

有权势的必如麻絮，他所作的好像火星；都要一同焚毁，没有人能扑灭。

到那日，他们要向以色列人咆哮，像海浪的澎湃声一样；人若望着这地，就只见黑暗与灾难；光在云中也成了黑暗。

那日是黑暗幽冥的日子，是密云漆黑的日子。有一队众多强盛的民来到，好像晨光满布群山；这样的事从前没有发生过，以后直到万代，也不会发生。

看哪！耶和华的日子快来到，必有残忍、愤恨与烈怒，使这地荒凉，使其中的罪人灭绝。

在万军之耶和华发怒的时候，就是我大发烈怒的日子，我要使天震动，大地必摇撼，离开本位。

我又听见他对其余的人说：“你们要跟随他走遍那城，进行杀戮；你们的眼不要顾惜，你们也不要怜恤。

他们的弓箭必射倒年轻人，他们不怜悯妇人腹中的婴儿；他们的眼也不顾惜小孩。

他们仰脸向天观望，又俯视大地，只见困苦、黑暗、可怕的幽暗；他们必被赶入幽黑的黑暗中。

渴望耶和华日子来临的人，你们有祸了！耶和华的日子对你们有什么好处呢？那日是黑暗，没有光明的日子。

有人在街上因无酒呼喊；一切喜乐都已过去，地上的喜乐都消逝了。城门所剩下的只有荒凉，城门被撞得粉碎。

因此，大地被咒诅吞灭，地上的居民要承担惩罚。因此，地上的居民被焚烧，剩下的人很少。

神没有姑息犯罪的天使，反而把他们丢入地狱，囚禁在幽暗的坑里，等候审判。
