敵沉湎於酒、若荊棘叢雜、乾燥易焚。

世末亦然、天使將出、於善之中以別其惡、投之火爐、在彼有哀哭切齒者矣、○

民興怨時、耶和華聞而不悅、勃然震怒、使火燃於民中、營之邊隅被燬。民呼摩西、摩西禱於耶和華、火燄隨熄。稱其地曰、大比剌、以耶和華之火曾燃及之也。

耶和華震怒諸敵、勢若烈火、颶風雨雹、行潦驟至、霹靂遙聞、異跡立見、

此乃澆漓之俗、士師所必罰、或燬其身體、或壞其禾稼、

我燬其軍旅、若陶人之煮灰、猶刈荊棘、焚之以火、

自古以來、欲罰亞述國王在彼陀法、為備坎阱、其深無量、其廣無垠、積薪無數、望之若臺、焚之以火、耶和華之氣若硫磺、使烈燄四熾焉。

耶和華復以一事示予、以火罰民、深淵悉涸、所得之地、成焦土焉。

作惡之人、為耶和華仇、必致死亡、如佳卉凋零、如烟燄散滅兮。

蓋我耶和華降罰億兆、使蹈鋒刃、罹火災、殺戮者不可勝數、凡在園囿之人、自言已潔、一唱眾和、食豕與鼠、及可惡之物、我耶和華滅之務盡。

南郊之林、宜聽耶和華之言、主耶和華曰、我必燃火林間、凡爾樹木、或青或枯、焚之務盡、其燄不滅、自南及北、四周盡燬、眾人皆知、我耶和華所燃、不得撲滅。

我之忿怒如火之燎、燃於幽冥、爇其全地、偕土產以俱焚、並山基而同燬。

敵人至自北方、妄自尊大、其前茅則向東海、其後勁則向西海、我必掃除之、驅逐於曠野、使其臭氣流布、腥聞於上、

厥怒奮發、若山巔出火、孰能自立、厥氣憤烈、若磐巖崩裂、孰能得生、

有爵位者如麻、其所作為如火、遇之必燃、同遭焚燬、撲滅無人。

倘爾一手陷爾於罪、則斷之、寧殘缺入於生、勿兩手下地獄不滅之火、在彼蟲不死、火不滅、倘爾一足陷爾於罪、則斷之、寧跛入於生、勿兩足下地獄不滅之火、在彼蟲不死、火不滅、倘爾一目陷爾於罪、則去之、寧一目進上帝國、勿兩目投地獄之火、在彼蟲不死、火不滅、凡人必火以火、祭物必鹽以鹽、鹽善矣、鹽而失其為鹽、何以復之、爾曹內宜有鹽而相和、可也、

斯園也、我不厭棄、敵若荊棘、吾將芟除、焚之以火、

若其叢生荊棘、則人棄之、終必被詛、而爇以火、

又謂在左者曰、爾服詛者、離我入永火、乃為魔鬼及其使者而備者也、

故萬有之主將使肥健之人、變為瘦瘠、尊榮之輩、爇以烈火、以色列族至聖之主、輝光遠燭、勢若焰火、一日間必毀亞述人、若焚荊棘、茂林良田、俱遭焚燬、中有餘木、其數惟寡、小子可稽察之、亞述王身必喪、命必絕、如病者之漸痿、

如有拜獸及獸像、或受其印誌者、則困之以火、炎上不熄、晝夜無少安、

故彼必若朝雲、立見其散、又若晨露、立見其晞、若穀場之糠、為颶風飄揚、猶之炊烟、騰於牖外。
