不可亵渎上帝，也不可咒诅百姓的官长。

我要差来亚述王的军队，使他们像幼发拉底河的洪流一样汹涌而来，淹没一切水道，漫过河岸，席卷犹大，使整个犹大几遭灭顶之灾。他必展开双翼横扫你的土地。”愿上帝与我们同在！

那年四月九日，城里饥荒非常严重，百姓无粮可吃。

“当你们被敌人围困、陷入绝境时，你们必吃自己的亲生骨肉——你们的上帝耶和华赐给你们的儿女。因为被敌人困在城中，饥饿难熬，连你们中间最温柔体贴的男人也要独自吞吃子女的肉，不肯分给自己的兄弟、爱妻和剩下的儿女。

话音未落，使者已经到了，说：“既然这祸是从耶和华来的，我何必再仰望祂呢？”

“与你们素不相识的民族必吃光你们土地的出产和劳碌所得，你们必常受欺压，以致眼前的一切令你们发疯。

人们被炙热灼伤，就亵渎掌管这些灾祸的上帝的名，他们毫无悔意，不肯归荣耀给上帝。第五位天使将碗倒在那海中怪兽的座位上，它的国便被黑暗笼罩，它的国民痛苦难当，咬自己的舌头。他们因为痛苦和毒疮就亵渎天上的上帝，不肯为自己的所作所为悔改。

他的妻子对他说：“你还要持守自己的纯正吗？不如亵渎上帝，死掉算了！”

倘若你伸手毁坏他拥有的一切，他必当面亵渎你。”

那年四月九日，城里饥荒非常严重，百姓无粮可吃。

倘若你伸手伤害他的骨和肉，他必当面亵渎你。”

婴儿干渴难忍，舌头紧贴上膛；孩童乞求食物，却无人给予。昔日锦衣玉食、生活奢侈的，如今却流落街头，躺卧在粪堆中。

死于刀下的胜过死于饥饿的，后者因田间缺粮而活活饿死。我的百姓遭毁灭时，慈母亲手煮自己的儿女充饥。

其余没有被这些灾害所杀的人仍不肯悔改、停止手中的恶行，还是去拜魔鬼和那些用金、银、铜、石、木所造，不能看、不能听、不能行走的偶像。他们不肯为自己所犯的凶杀、邪术、淫乱和偷盗悔改。
