Bind up this testimony of warning and seal up God’s instruction among my disciples.

Tie up the scroll as legal evidence, seal the official record of God’s instructions and give it to my followers.

Wrap up the covenant. Seal the law among my disciples.

But I want you to roll up this scroll, Daniel. Seal it until the time of the end. Many people will go here and there to increase their knowledge.”

He is a witness to what he has seen and heard. But no one accepts what he says.Anyone who has accepted it has said,‘ Yes. God is truthful.’

We accept what people say when they are witnesses. But it’s more important when God is a witness. That’s because it is what God says about his Son.Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts what God says about him. Whoever does not believe God is calling him a liar. That’s because they have not believed what God said about his Son.Here is what God says about the Son. God has given us eternal life. And this life is found in his Son.Whoever belongs to the Son has life. Whoever doesn’t belong to the Son of God doesn’t have life.

I will teach all your children. And they will enjoy great peace.

Then one of the elders said to me,“ Do not cry! The Lion of the tribe of Judah has won the battle. He is the Root of David. He is able to break the seven seals and open the scroll.”

When I heard this, I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me,“ Don’t do that! I serve God, just as you do. I am God’s servant, just like believers who hold firmly to what Jesus has taught. Worship God! The Spirit of prophecy tells the truth about Jesus.”

The Lord shares his plans with those who have respect for him. He makes his covenant known to them.

Then I saw a scroll in the right hand of the one sitting on the throne. The scroll had writing on both sides. It was sealed with seven seals.

The Lord said to me,“ Get a large sheet of paper. Write‘ Maher- Shalal- Hash- Baz’ on it with a pen.”So I sent for Zechariah and Uriah the priest. Zechariah is the son of Jeberekiah. Zechariah and Uriah were witnesses for me whom I could trust.

Later Jesus was alone. The 12 disciples asked him about the stories. So did the others around him.He told them,“ The secret of God’s kingdom has been given to you. But to outsiders everything is told using stories.

All the words of my mouth are honest. None of them is twisted or sinful.To those who have understanding, all my words are right. To those who have found knowledge, they are true.

The person without the Spirit doesn’t accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. These things are foolish to them. They can’t understand them. In fact, such things can’t be understood without the Spirit’s help.

When they were in the house again, the disciples asked Jesus about this.

“ Moses was faithful as one who serves in the house of God.”( Numbers 12:7) He was a witness to what God would say in days to come.

Jehoiada brought out Ahaziah’s son. He put the crown on him. He gave him a copy of the covenant. And he announced that Joash was king. Jehoiada and his sons anointed him. The people clapped their hands. Then they shouted,“ May the king live a long time!”

He did not say anything to them without using a story. But when he was alone with his disciples, he explained everything.

Here are its terms, rules and laws. Moses gave them to the people when they came out of Egypt.

He answered,“ Go on your way, Daniel. The scroll is rolled up. It is sealed until the time of the end.Many people will be made pure in the fire. They will be made spotless. But sinful people will continue to be evil. Not one sinful person will understand. But those who are wise will.

Follow what the Lord taught you and said to you through me. People who don’t speak in keeping with these words will have no hope in the morning.

When they had spoken, I was getting ready to write. But I heard a voice from heaven say,“ Seal up what the seven thunders have said. Do not write it down.”

“ The Lord has appointed 70‘ weeks’ for your people and your holy city. During that time, acts against God’s law will be stopped. Sin will come to an end. And the evil things people do will be paid for. Then everyone will always do what is right. Everything that has been made known in visions and prophecies will come true. And the Most Holy Room in the temple will be anointed.

He replied,“ Because you have been given the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven. It has not been given to outsiders.

For you, this whole vision is like words that are sealed up in a scroll. Suppose you give it to someone who can read. And suppose you say,“ Please read this for us.” Then they’ll answer,“ I can’t. It’s sealed up.”Or suppose you give the scroll to someone who can’t read. And suppose you say,“ Please read this for us.” Then they’ll answer,“ I don’t know how to read.”

‘ Whoever has ears should listen to what the Holy Spirit says to the churches. Here is what I will do for anyone who has victory over sin. I will give that person hidden manna to eat. I will also give each of them a white stone with a new name written on it. Only the one who receives this name will know what it is.’
