He will be a holy place; for both Israel and Judah he will be a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.

Then the Lord will be a holy place of safety for you. But that’s not true for many people in Israel and Judah. He will be a stone that causes them to trip. He will be a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.

And he will become a sanctuary and a stone of offense and a rock of stumbling to both houses of Israel, a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

He will keep you safe. But to Israel and Judah he will be a stone that makes people stumble, a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.

He will be a sanctuary; but for the two houses of Israel, he will be a stone to stumble over and a rock to trip over, and a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

又说：“作了绊脚的石头，使人跌倒的磐石。”他们绊跌，因为不顺从这道，这也是预定的。

西面给他们祝福，又对孩子的母亲马利亚说：“这孩子被立，是要叫以色列中许多人跌倒，许多人兴起；又要成为毁谤的对象，

所以，主耶和华如此说：“看哪，我在锡安放一块石头作为根基，是衡量的石头，是宝贵的房角石，稳固的根基；信靠他的人必不致惊恐。

所以你当说：‘主耶和华如此说：我虽将以色列全家远远流放到列国，使他们分散在列邦，我却要在他们所到的列邦，暂时作他们的圣所。’

神是我们的避难所，是我们的力量，是我们在患难中随时的帮助。所以，地虽改变，山虽摇动到海心，

他要向恶人密布罗网，烈火、硫磺、热风作他们杯中的份。

耶和华的名是坚固台，义人奔入就得安稳。

他们就厌弃他。耶稣对他们说：“先知除了在本乡和自己的家之外，没有不被尊敬的。”

愿他们的筵席在他们面前变为罗网，在他们平安的时候变为圈套。

谁先给了他，使他后来偿还呢？

我的百姓啊，要进入内室，关上你的门，躲避片刻，等到愤怒过去。

如同罗网一样，因为那日子要临到所有居住在地面上的人。

这要作为棚子，白天可以遮荫避暑，暴风雨侵袭时，可作藏身处和避难所。

地上的居民哪，惊吓、陷阱、罗网都临到你；躲过惊吓之声的坠入陷阱，逃离陷阱的又被罗网缠住，因为天上的窗户都打开，地的根基也震动。

大卫也说：“愿他们的宴席变为罗网，变为陷阱，变为绊脚石，作他们的报应。愿他们的眼睛昏花，看不见；愿你时常弯下他们的腰。”那么，我再问，他们失足是要他们跌倒吗？绝对不是！因他们的过犯，救恩反而临到外邦人，要激起他们嫉妒的心。
