“ Do not call conspiracy everything this people calls a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it.

“ People of Judah, do not agree with those who say Isaiah is guilty of treason. Do not fear what they fear. Do not be afraid.

“ Do not call conspiracy all that this people calls conspiracy, and do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread.

“ Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them.

Do not call everything a conspiracy that these people say is a conspiracy. Do not fear what they fear; do not be terrified.

“ You are not to say,‘ It is a conspiracy!’ Regarding everything that this people call a conspiracy, And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it.

“ Do not say,‘ A conspiracy,’ Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.

Say ye not, A conspiracy, concerning all whereof this people shall say, A conspiracy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be in dread thereof.

Do not call everything an alliance these people say is an alliance. Do not fear what they fear; do not be terrified.

“ Do not say,‘ Conspiracy,’ every time these people say the word. Don’t be afraid of what scares them; don’t be terrified.

“ Don’t say,‘ A conspiracy!’ concerning all about which this people say,‘ A conspiracy!’ neither fear their threats, nor be terrorized.

But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy[ are ye]: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and[ be] ready always to[ give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end[ is] not by and by.

There were they in great fear,[ where] no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth[ against] thee: thou hast put[ them] to shame, because God hath despised them.

Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

I,[ even] I,[ am] he that comforteth you: who[ art] thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man[ that] shall die, and of the son of man[ which] shall be made[ as] grass;And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where[ is] the fury of the oppressor?

Then Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to war: and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome[ him].At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath to Syria, and drave the Jews from Elath: and the Syrians came to Elath, and dwelt there unto this day.So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, saying, I[ am] thy servant and thy son: come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, which rise up against me.

And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase[ thyself even] unto hell.Thou art wearied in the greatness of thy way;[ yet] saidst thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thine hand; therefore thou wast not grieved.And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid[ it] to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?

And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead[ men].And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shearjashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field;And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it,[ even] the son of Tabeal:
