斯民所以為結黨結黨或作結盟下同者、爾勿以為結黨、勿畏其所畏、勿驚其所驚、

“ Do not call conspiracy everything this people calls a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it.

“ People of Judah, do not agree with those who say Isaiah is guilty of treason. Do not fear what they fear. Do not be afraid.

“ Do not call conspiracy all that this people calls conspiracy, and do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread.

“ Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them.

Do not call everything a conspiracy that these people say is a conspiracy. Do not fear what they fear; do not be terrified.

“ You are not to say,‘ It is a conspiracy!’ Regarding everything that this people call a conspiracy, And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it.

“ Do not say,‘ A conspiracy,’ Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.

Say ye not, A conspiracy, concerning all whereof this people shall say, A conspiracy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be in dread thereof.

Do not call everything an alliance these people say is an alliance. Do not fear what they fear; do not be terrified.

Say ye not, A confederacy, to all[ them to] whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.

“ Do not say,‘ Conspiracy,’ every time these people say the word. Don’t be afraid of what scares them; don’t be terrified.

But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed.“ Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, (niv)

When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.” (niv)

But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, where there was nothing to dread. God scattered the bones of those who attacked you; you put them to shame, for God despised them. (niv)

“ Woe to the obstinate children,” declares the Lord,“ to those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit, heaping sin upon sin; (niv)

“ I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass,that you forget the Lord your Maker, who stretches out the heavens and who lays the foundations of the earth, that you live in constant terror every day because of the wrath of the oppressor, who is bent on destruction? For where is the wrath of the oppressor? (niv)

Then Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel marched up to fight against Jerusalem and besieged Ahaz, but they could not overpower him.At that time, Rezin king of Aram recovered Elath for Aram by driving out the people of Judah. Edomites then moved into Elath and have lived there to this day.Ahaz sent messengers to say to Tiglath- Pileser king of Assyria,“ I am your servant and vassal. Come up and save me out of the hand of the king of Aram and of the king of Israel, who are attacking me.” (niv)

“ I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. (niv)

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.The angel said to the women,“ Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. Now the house of David was told,“ Aram has allied itself with Ephraim”; so the hearts of Ahaz and his people were shaken, as the trees of the forest are shaken by the wind.Then the Lord said to Isaiah,“ Go out, you and your son Shear-Jashub, to meet Ahaz at the end of the aqueduct of the Upper Pool, on the road to the Launderer’s Field.Say to him,‘ Be careful, keep calm and don’t be afraid. Do not lose heart because of these two smoldering stubs of firewood— because of the fierce anger of Rezin and Aram and of the son of Remaliah.Aram, Ephraim and Remaliah’s son have plotted your ruin, saying,“ Let us invade Judah; let us tear it apart and divide it among ourselves, and make the son of Tabeel king over it.” (niv)
