人非有信，就不能得神的喜悦；因为到神面前来的人必须信有神，且信他赏赐那寻求他的人。

次日清早，众人起来往提哥亚的旷野去。出去的时候，约沙法站着说：“犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪，要听我说：信耶和华你们的神就必立稳；信他的先知就必亨通。”

不错！他们因为不信，所以被折下来；你因为信，所以立得住；你不可自高，反要惧怕。

所以众位可以放心，我信神他怎样对我说，事情也要怎样成就。

暗利用二他连得银子向撒玛买了撒玛利亚山，在山上造城，就按着山的原主撒玛的名，给所造的城起名叫撒玛利亚。暗利行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，比他以前的列王作恶更甚。因他行了尼八的儿子耶罗波安所行的，犯他使以色列人陷在罪里的那罪，以虚无的神惹耶和华以色列神的怒气。暗利其余的事和他所显出的勇力都写在以色列诸王记上。暗利与他列祖同睡，葬在撒玛利亚。他儿子亚哈接续他作王。犹大王亚撒三十八年，暗利的儿子亚哈登基作了以色列王。暗利的儿子亚哈在撒玛利亚作以色列王二十二年。

“这百姓既厌弃西罗亚缓流的水，喜悦利汛和利玛利的儿子；因此，主必使大河翻腾的水猛然冲来，就是亚述王和他所有的威势，必漫过一切的水道，涨过两岸；必冲入犹大，涨溢泛滥，直到颈项。以马内利啊，他展开翅膀，遍满你的地。”

但百夫长信从掌船的和船主，不信从保罗所说的。
