thus says the Lord God:“‘ It shall not stand, and it shall not come to pass.

但主耶和華說，『這陰謀必無法得逞。

因此主永恆主這麼說：這計謀必立不住，也不能實現；

但主耶和華如此說：「這事必立不住，也不會得逞，

主耶和華曰、此謀不立、不成、

然我耶和華云、此謀必不成、

主天主如是云、此謀必不立、必不成、

Yet this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“‘ It will not take place, it will not happen,

But I am the Lord and King. I say,“‘ “That will not happen. It will not take place.

But this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ This invasion will never happen; it will never take place;

This is what the Lord GOD says: It will not happen; it will not occur.

this is what the Lord God says:“ It shall not stand nor shall it come to pass.

thus says the Lord GOD:“ It shall not stand, Nor shall it come to pass.

thus saith the Lord Jehovah, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.

This is what the Lord God says: It will not happen; it will not occur.

Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.

For this reason the sovereign master, the LORD, says:“ It will not take place; it will not happen.

This is what the Lord Yahweh says:“ It shall not stand, neither shall it happen.”

Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; speak a word, but it will not stand, for God is with us.

who through the mouth of our father David, your servant, said by the Holy Spirit,“‘ Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples plot in vain?The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers were gathered together, against the Lord and against his Anointed’—for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place.

No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel can avail against the Lord.

declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying,‘ My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.

Who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the Lord has commanded it?

Because you have raged against me and your complacency has come to my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will turn you back on the way by which you came.’

He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying,“ As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.”

all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him,“ What have you done?”

The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations.

Against a godless nation I send him, and against the people of my wrath I command him, to take spoil and seize plunder, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.But he does not so intend, and his heart does not so think; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off nations not a few;for he says:“ Are not my commanders all kings?Is not Calno like Carchemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad? Is not Samaria like Damascus?As my hand has reached to the kingdoms of the idols, whose carved images were greater than those of Jerusalem and Samaria,shall I not do to Jerusalem and her idols as I have done to Samaria and her images?”When the Lord has finished all his work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, he will punish the speech of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and the boastful look in his eyes.

Surely the wrath of man shall praise you; the remnant of wrath you will put on like a belt.
