亞述國王河外之人、爾饋以金、耶和華反使之翦滅爾民、若刀薙毛髮、去髭鬚、自頂放踵、幾無噍類、

當是時主必藉河外之人、即亞述王、翦除民眾、如以所租之薙刀、薙除首髮、足毛、及鬚髯、

In that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the Euphrates River— the king of Assyria— to shave your heads and private parts, and to cut off your beards also.

At that time the Lord will use the Assyrians to punish you. Ahaz had hired them earlier from east of the Euphrates River. Now their king will be like a razor in the Lord’s hand. He will shave the hair from your head and private parts. He will also shave off your beards.

In that day the Lord will shave with a razor that is hired beyond the River— with the king of Assyria— the head and the hair of the feet, and it will sweep away the beard also.

In that day the Lord will hire a“ razor” from beyond the Euphrates River— the king of Assyria— and use it to shave off everything: your land, your crops, and your people.

In that day the Lord will shave with a razor that is hired in the parts beyond the River, even with the king of Assyria, the head and the hair of the feet; and it shall also consume the beard.

“你，人子啊，拿一把快刀当作剃刀，用这刀剃你的头发和胡须，然后用天平将须发分成几份。围困的日子满了，你要把三分之一放在城中用火焚烧；三分之一放在城的四围用刀砍碎；三分之一任风吹散，我要拔刀追赶它们。你要从其中取几根须发，用衣服的边包起来，再从其中取一些扔在火里，在火中焚烧；必有火从其中出来烧尽以色列全家。

斧岂可向用斧砍伐的自夸呢？锯岂可向拉锯的自大呢？这好比棍挥动那举棍的，好比杖举起那不是木头的人。

因此，看哪，主必使亚述王和他的威势如大河翻腾汹涌的水上涨，盖过他们，必上涨超过一切水道，涨过两岸，

你们为什么屡次悖逆，继续受责打呢？你们已经满头疼痛，全心发昏；

现在我将全地都交在我仆人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒手中，也把野地的走兽给他使用。列国都要服事他和他的子孙，直到他本国遭报的日期来到；那时，许多国家和大君王要使他作奴隶。

亚述王提革拉‧毗列色来攻击他，不帮助他，反倒欺负他。亚哈斯从耶和华殿里和王宫中，以及众领袖家中取财宝送给亚述王，也无济于事。

祸哉！亚述，我怒气的棍！他们手中的杖是我的恼恨。我要差遣他攻击亵渎的国，吩咐他对付我所恼怒的民，抢走掳物，夺取掠物，将他们践踏，如同街上的泥土一般。

亚哈斯派使者到亚述王提革拉‧毗列色那里，说：“我是你的仆人，你的儿子。现在亚兰王和以色列王攻击我，求你上来，救我脱离他们的手。”亚哈斯将耶和华殿里和王宫府库里所有的金银都送给亚述王为礼物。

“人子啊，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒令他的军兵大力攻打推罗，以致头都光秃，肩都磨破；然而他和军兵虽然为攻打推罗花这么多力气，却没有从那里得到什么犒赏。

耶和华在一日之间从以色列中剪除了头与尾—棕树枝与芦苇—长老和显要就是头，以谎言教人的先知就是尾。因为引导这百姓的使他们走入迷途，被引导的都必被吞灭。所以，主不喜爱他们的青年，也不怜悯他们的孤儿和寡妇；因为他们都是亵渎的，行恶的，并且各人的口都说愚妄的话。虽然如此，耶和华的怒气并未转消；他的手依然伸出。

耶和华必使埃及的海湾全然毁坏，他举手在大河之上刮起了暴热的风，击打它，使它分成七条溪流，人穿鞋便可渡过。

看哪，耶和华使地空虚，变为荒芜，地面扭曲，居民四散。那时，百姓如何，祭司也如何；仆人如何，主人也如何；婢女如何，主母也如何；买主如何，卖主也如何；放债的如何，借贷的也如何；债主如何，欠债的也如何。

我将埃及地赐给他，犒赏他，因他们为我效劳。这是主耶和华说的。

希西家王十四年，亚述王西拿基立上来攻击犹大的一切坚固的城，将城攻取。犹大王希西家派人到拉吉，亚述王那里，说：“我错了，求你撤退离开我；凡你罚我的，我必承当。”于是亚述王罚犹大王希西家三百他连得银子，三十他连得金子。希西家把耶和华殿里和王宫府库里所有的银子都给了他。那时，犹大王希西家将耶和华殿门上的金子和他自己包在柱子上的金子都刮下来，给了亚述王。
