亞述國王河外之人、爾饋以金、耶和華反使之翦滅爾民、若刀薙毛髮、去髭鬚、自頂放踵、幾無噍類、

當是時主必藉河外之人、即亞述王、翦除民眾、如以所租之薙刀、薙除首髮、足毛、及鬚髯、

In that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the Euphrates River— the king of Assyria— to shave your heads and private parts, and to cut off your beards also.

At that time the Lord will use the Assyrians to punish you. Ahaz had hired them earlier from east of the Euphrates River. Now their king will be like a razor in the Lord’s hand. He will shave the hair from your head and private parts. He will also shave off your beards.

In that day the Lord will shave with a razor that is hired beyond the River— with the king of Assyria— the head and the hair of the feet, and it will sweep away the beard also.

In that day the Lord will hire a“ razor” from beyond the Euphrates River— the king of Assyria— and use it to shave off everything: your land, your crops, and your people.

“人子啊，你要拿一把快刀，当作剃头刀，用这刀剃你的头发和你的胡须，用天平将须发平分。围困城的日子满了，你要将三分之一在城中用火焚烧，将三分之一在城的四围用刀砍碎，将三分之一任风吹散；我也要拔刀追赶。你要从其中取几根包在衣襟里，再从这几根中取些扔在火中焚烧，从里面必有火出来烧入以色列全家。

斧岂可向用斧砍木的自夸呢？锯岂可向用锯的自大呢？好比棍抡起那举棍的，好比杖举起那非木的人。

因此，主必使大河翻腾的水猛然冲来，就是亚述王和他所有的威势，必漫过一切的水道，涨过两岸；

你们为什么屡次悖逆，还要受责打吗？你们已经满头疼痛，全心发昏。

现在我将这些地都交给我仆人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的手，我也将田野的走兽给他使用。列国都必服侍他和他的儿孙，直到他本国遭报的日期来到。那时，多国和大君王要使他作他们的奴仆。

亚述王提革拉毗列色上来，却没有帮助他，反倒欺凌他。亚哈斯从耶和华殿里和王宫中，并首领家内所取的财宝给了亚述王，这也无济于事。

亚述是我怒气的棍，手中拿我恼恨的杖。我要打发他攻击亵渎的国民，吩咐他攻击我所恼怒的百姓，抢财为掳物，夺货为掠物，将他们践踏，像街上的泥土一样。

亚哈斯差遣使者去见亚述王提革拉毗列色，说：“我是你的仆人、你的儿子。现在亚兰王和以色列王攻击我，求你来救我脱离他们的手。”亚哈斯将耶和华殿里和王宫府库里所有的金银都送给亚述王为礼物。

“人子啊，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒使他的军兵大大效劳，攻打推罗，以致头都光秃，肩都磨破；然而他和他的军兵攻打推罗，并没有从那里得什么酬劳。

因此，耶和华一日之间必从以色列中剪除头与尾，棕枝与芦苇。长老和尊贵人就是头，以谎言教人的先知就是尾。因为，引导这百姓的使他们走错了路；被引导的都必败亡。所以，主必不喜悦他们的少年人，也不怜恤他们的孤儿寡妇；因为，各人是亵渎的，是行恶的，并且各人的口都说愚妄的话。虽然如此，耶和华的怒气还未转消；他的手仍伸不缩。

耶和华必使埃及海汊枯干，抡手用暴热的风使大河分为七条，令人过去不致湿脚。

看哪，耶和华使地空虚，变为荒凉；又翻转大地，将居民分散。那时百姓怎样，祭司也怎样；仆人怎样，主人也怎样；婢女怎样，主母也怎样；买物的怎样，卖物的也怎样；放债的怎样，借债的也怎样；取利的怎样，出利的也怎样。

我将埃及地赐给他，酬他所效的劳，因王与军兵是为我勤劳。这是主耶和华说的。

希西家王十四年，亚述王西拿基立上来攻击犹大的一切坚固城，将城攻取。犹大王希西家差人往拉吉去见亚述王，说：“我有罪了，求你离开我；凡你罚我的，我必承当。”于是亚述王罚犹大王希西家银子三百他连得，金子三十他连得。希西家就把耶和华殿里和王宫府库里所有的银子都给了他。那时，犹大王希西家将耶和华殿门上的金子和他自己包在柱上的金子都刮下来，给了亚述王。
