Now the house of David was told,“ Aram has allied itself with Ephraim”; so the hearts of Ahaz and his people were shaken, as the trees of the forest are shaken by the wind.

The royal family of Ahaz was told,“ The army of Aram has joined forces with Ephraim’s army.” So the hearts of Ahaz and his people trembled with fear. They shook just as trees in the forest shake when the wind blows through them.

When the house of David was told,“ Syria is in league with Ephraim,” the heart of Ahaz and the heart of his people shook as the trees of the forest shake before the wind.

The news had come to the royal court of Judah:“ Syria is allied with Israel against us!” So the hearts of the king and his people trembled with fear, like trees shaking in a storm.

When it became known to the house of David that Aram had occupied Ephraim, the heart of Ahaz and the hearts of his people trembled like trees of a forest shaking in the wind.

When it was reported to the house of David, saying,“ The Arameans have taken a stand by Ephraim,” his heart and the hearts of his people shook as the trees of the forest shake from the wind.

以賽亞曰、大衛家、其聽之、爾以勞人為細事乎、亦將勞我上帝乎、

曰、斯民謂結盟、爾勿謂之、勿畏其所畏、勿視為可懼、

惡者無人追襲而逃、義者猛勇若獅、

維此眾庶、以法蓮與撒瑪利亞居民將知之、彼心驕氣傲、曰、

希律王聞之惶懼、舉耶路撒冷皆然、

於是亞瑪謝區別自以法蓮而來之軍、遣之歸、彼眾甚怒猶大人、忿然而返、

以法蓮之族長數人、約哈難子亞薩利雅、米實利末子比利家、沙龍子耶希西家、哈得萊子亞瑪撒、咸起、抵禦自陳而返者、

奉耶和華命、向壇而呼曰、壇乎、壇乎、耶和華云、大衛家必生一子、名約西亞、彼將取崇邱之祭司、焚香於爾上者、獻於爾上、人之骸骨、亦必焚於爾上焉、

蓋耶和華使亞蘭軍旅、聞車聲馬聲、大軍之聲、則相語曰、以色列王必賄赫族、與埃及諸王、來攻我矣、薄暮即起而遁、棄其帳幕馬驢、留營如故、祇逃其生、

蓋我為己、及我僕大衛故、必扞衛此城、以拯救之、○

惟因我僕大衛、及我於以色列支派中、所簡之邑耶路撒冷故、彼必得一支派、

以法蓮餐風、追隨東風、妄誕殘暴日增、且與亞述結盟、貢油於埃及、

故其居民力微、驚惶羞愧、如田草、如青蔬、如屋上之草、如未長之禾、

以色列眾見王不聽、則謂王曰、我與大衛何與、我於耶西子無業、以色列人歟、爾其歸幕、大衛家歟、爾其自顧、以色列人遂歸其幕、

在此族中、不獲綏安、無有駐足之所、耶和華必使爾心慄目盲、精神衰敗、爾之生命、懸寄危境、晝夜驚惶、料難保全、

耶和華曰、大衛家歟、當朝行公義、拯被刧者於暴者之手、恐我因爾惡行、發怒若火炎炎、莫能撲滅、

耶和華必使患難之日臨爾、與爾民眾、及爾父家、自以法蓮叛離猶大、未有若此者、即亞述王為禍也、○

噩耗不驚、心志堅定、惟耶和華是恃兮、其心穩固、無所畏葸、迨見其敵遭報兮、

爾之孑遺、處於敵國、必使其心頹敗、風吹葉落、聞聲而怖、彼之遁逃、若避鋒刃、即無追者、亦必顚仆、無人追襲、自相蹂躪、如在鋒刃之前、無力拒敵、

我託庇於耶和華、爾曹胡謂我曰、宜如禽鳥、翱翔於山、

人子歟、其取一杖、書於上曰、是為猶大、及同儕以色列族、又取一杖、書於上曰、是為約瑟之以法蓮、及同儕以色列全家、連此二杖、成為一杖、在於爾手、爾民族問爾曰、作此何意、不示我乎、則告之曰、主耶和華云、我必取以法蓮手中、約瑟與其同儕以色列支派之杖、置於猶大之杖、連之為一、在於我手、成為一杖、

耶和華為我光、我之拯救、吾其誰懼兮、耶和華為我生命之保障、吾其誰惕兮、惟彼惡人、我仇我敵、進攻欲食我肉、咸躓而顚兮、

會眾大聲號呼、是夜咸哭、以色列族怨摩西亞倫、僉曰、願我亡於埃及、或殞於斯野為幸、耶和華何為導我至此、使我仆於刃、妻孥被虜、我歸埃及、不猶美乎、

爾家爾國必堅立、爾位必堅定、至於永遠、

假令其中尚存什一、亦被焚燬、若栗與橡、經伐留幹、其幹乃聖裔也、

以法蓮之妒必泯、猶大之敵必絕、以法蓮不妒猶大、猶大不擾以法蓮、

以大衛家之鑰、置於其肩、彼啟則無人閉之、彼閉則無人啟之、
