When Ahaz son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, was king of Judah, King Rezin of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel marched up to fight against Jerusalem, but they could not overpower it.

Ahaz was king of Judah. Rezin was king of Aram. And Pekah was king of Israel. Rezin and Pekah marched up to fight against Jerusalem. But they couldn’t overpower it. Ahaz was the son of Jotham and the grandson of Uzziah. Pekah was the son of Remaliah.

In the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, son of Uzziah, king of Judah, Rezin the king of Syria and Pekah the son of Remaliah the king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to wage war against it, but could not yet mount an attack against it.

When Ahaz, son of Jotham and grandson of Uzziah, was king of Judah, King Rezin of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah, the king of Israel, set out to attack Jerusalem. However, they were unable to carry out their plan.

This took place during the reign of Ahaz, son of Jotham, son of Uzziah king of Judah: Aram’s King Rezin and Israel’s King Pekah son of Remaliah went to fight against Jerusalem, but they were not able to conquer it.

利瑪利的兒子比加十七年，猶大王約坦的兒子亞哈斯登基。

「這百姓既厭棄西羅亞緩流的水，喜悅利汛和利瑪利的兒子；

列國的人民哪，任憑你們喧嚷，終必破壞；遠方的眾人哪，當側耳而聽！任憑你們束起腰來，終必破壞；你們束起腰來，終必破壞。任憑你們同謀，終歸無有；任憑你們言定，終不成立；因為神與我們同在。

他們同謀奸詐要害你的百姓，彼此商議要害你所隱藏的人。他們說：來吧，我們將他們剪滅，使他們不再成國！使以色列的名不再被人記念！他們同心商議，彼此結盟，要抵擋你，

比加轄的將軍、利瑪利的兒子比加背叛他，在撒馬利亞王宮裏的衛所殺了他。亞珥歌伯和亞利耶並基列的五十人幫助比加；比加擊殺他，篡了他的位。

亞哈斯登基的時候年二十歲，在耶路撒冷作王十六年；不像他祖大衛行耶和華眼中看為正的事，卻行以色列諸王的道，又鑄造巴力的像，並且在欣嫩子谷燒香，用火焚燒他的兒女，行耶和華在以色列人面前所驅逐的外邦人那可憎的事；並在邱壇上、山岡上、各青翠樹下獻祭燒香。所以，耶和華－他的神將他交在亞蘭王手裏。亞蘭王打敗他，擄了他許多的民，帶到大馬士革去。神又將他交在以色列王手裏，以色列王向他大行殺戮。利瑪利的兒子比加一日殺了猶大人十二萬，都是勇士，因為他們離棄了耶和華－他們列祖的神。

對他說：『你要謹慎安靜，不要因亞蘭王利汛和利瑪利的兒子這兩個冒煙的火把頭所發的烈怒害怕，也不要心裏膽怯。因為亞蘭和以法蓮，並利瑪利的兒子，設惡謀害你，說：我們可以上去攻擊猶大，擾亂它，攻破它，在其中立他比勒的兒子為王。所以主耶和華如此說：這所謀的必立不住，也不得成就。原來亞蘭的首城是大馬士革；大馬士革的首領是利汛。六十五年之內,以法蓮必然破壞,不再成為國民。以法蓮的首城是撒馬利亞；撒馬利亞的首領是利瑪利的兒子。你們若是不信，定然不得立穩。』」

當烏西雅、約坦、亞哈斯、希西家作猶大王的時候，亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞得默示，論到猶大和耶路撒冷。
