Hear that uproar from the city, hear that noise from the temple! It is the sound of the Lord repaying his enemies all they deserve.

Hear the loud sounds coming from the city! Listen to the noise coming from the temple! I am the one causing it. I am paying back my enemies for everything they have done.

看哪，我必激发他们离开你们把他们卖去的地方，又必使报应归到你们头上。我要将你们的儿女卖到犹大人手中，他们必转卖给远方的国家示巴人。这是耶和华说的。”当在列国中宣告：预备打仗，激发勇士，使所有战士上前来。要将犁头打成刀剑，镰刀打成戈矛；弱者要说：“我是勇士。”四围的列国啊，你们要速速前来，一同聚集。耶和华啊，求你使你的勇士降临。列国都当兴起，上到约沙法谷；因为我必坐在那里，审判四围的列国。挥镰刀吧！因为庄稼熟了；来踩踏吧！因为榨酒池满了。酒池已经满溢，因为他们的罪恶甚大。在断定谷有许多许多的人，因为耶和华的日子临近断定谷了。日月昏暗，星宿无光。耶和华必从锡安吼叫，从耶路撒冷出声，天地就震动。耶和华却要作他百姓的避难所，作以色列人的保障。

这是耶和华报仇之日，为锡安伸冤的报应之年。

他说：“耶和华必从锡安吼叫，从耶路撒冷出声；牧人的草场哀伤，迦密的山顶枯干。”

他必按人的行为报应，恼怒他的敌人，报复他的仇敌，向众海岛施行报应。

且对人说：‘你站开吧！不要挨近我，因为我对你来说太神圣了。’这些人惹我鼻中冒烟，如终日燃烧的火。看哪，这些都写在我面前。我必不静默，却要施行报应，将你们和你们祖先的罪孽全都报应在后人身上；因为他们在山上烧香，在冈上亵渎我，我要按他们先前所行的，报应在他们身上；这是耶和华说的。”
