Hear that uproar from the city, hear that noise from the temple! It is the sound of the Lord repaying his enemies all they deserve.

Hear the loud sounds coming from the city! Listen to the noise coming from the temple! I am the one causing it. I am paying back my enemies for everything they have done.

因為耶和華有報仇的日子，為錫安的案件，必有報應之年。

他說：“耶和華從錫安吼叫，從耶路撒冷發聲；牧人的草場因此悲哀，迦密的山頂枯乾。

他要按照各人的行為施行報應，把烈怒降與他的敵人，把報應加給他的仇敵，向眾海島的人施行報應。

並且對人說：“你站遠一點！不要挨近我，因為我會使你聖潔。”主說：“這些人是我鼻中的煙，是整天燒著的火。看哪！這都寫在我面前，我必不緘默不言，我非報應不可，我必報應在他們的懷中。我要同時報應你們的罪孽和你們列祖的罪孽，這是耶和華說的，因為他們曾在山上燒過香，在岡陵上譏笑過我，我必把他們以前所行的量在他們的懷中。”
