Hear this message from the Lord, all you who tremble at his words:“ Your own people hate you and throw you out for being loyal to my name.‘ Let the Lord be honored!’ they scoff.‘ Be joyful in him!’ But they will be put to shame.

因耶和华的话而战兢的人哪！你们要听他的话。他说：“你们的兄弟，就是那些憎恨你们、因我的名赶走你们的，曾说：‘愿耶和华得荣耀；让我们看见你们的喜乐。’他们却要蒙羞。

因耶和华的话语而战兢的人哪，你们要听他的话！他说：“你们的兄弟，就是那些恨恶你们、因我名的缘故逼迫你们的，曾说：‘愿耶和华得荣耀，好让我们看见你们的喜乐吧！’他们却必蒙羞。”

一聽見永恆主的話、就戰戰兢兢的人哪，你們聽永恆主的話吧！『你們的弟兄、那些恨惡你們、使你們為我名的緣故被趕逐的、曾譏笑說：「願永恆主得榮耀啊！讓我們看看你們的喜樂啊！」其實呢、蒙羞抱愧的倒是這種人呢！

因耶和華的話語而戰兢的人哪，你們要聽他的話！他說：「你們的兄弟，就是那些恨惡你們、因我名的緣故逼迫你們的，曾說：『願耶和華得榮耀，好讓我們看見你們的喜樂吧！』他們卻必蒙羞。」

Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at his word:“ Your own people who hate you, and exclude you because of my name, have said,‘ Let the Lord be glorified, that we may see your joy!’ Yet they will be put to shame.

Listen to the word of the Lord. Listen, you who tremble with fear when he speaks. He says,“ Some of your own people hate you. They turn their backs on you because you are faithful to me. They make fun of you and say,‘ Let the Lord show his glory by saving you. Then we can see how happy you are.’ But they will be put to shame.

Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at his word:“ Your brothers who hate you and cast you out for my name’s sake have said,‘ Let the Lord be glorified, that we may see your joy’; but it is they who shall be put to shame.

You who tremble at his word, hear the word of the LORD:“ Your brothers who hate and exclude you for my name’s sake have said,‘ Let the LORD be glorified so that we can see your joy!’ But they will be put to shame.”

Hear the word of Jehovah, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hate you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, have said, Let Jehovah be glorified, that we may see your joy; but it is they that shall be put to shame.

You who tremble at His word, hear the word of the Lord:“ Your brothers who hate and exclude you because of Me have said,‘ Let the Lord be glorified so that we can see your joy!’ But they will be put to shame.”

Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

Hear the word of the LORD, you who respect what he has to say! Your countrymen, who hate you and exclude you, supposedly for the sake of my name, say,“ May the LORD be glorified, then we will witness your joy.” But they will be put to shame.

Hear Yahweh’s word, you who tremble at his word:“ Your brothers who hate you, who cast you out for my name’s sake, have said,‘ Let Yahweh be glorified, that we may see your joy;’ but it is those who shall be disappointed.

“ If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.Do you remember what I told you?‘ A slave is not greater than the master.’ Since they persecuted me, naturally they will persecute you. And if they had listened to me, they would listen to you.

My hands have made both heaven and earth; they and everything in them are mine. I, the Lord, have spoken!“ I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at my word.

They repay me evil for good and oppose me for pursuing good.

And all nations will hate you because you are my followers. But everyone who endures to the end will be saved.

God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.“ God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers.Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.

They even mock God and say,“ Hurry up and do something! We want to see what you can do. Let the Holy One of Israel carry out his plan, for we want to know what it is.”

“ You were born a total sinner!” they answered.“ Are you trying to teach us?” And they threw him out of the synagogue.

This shamed his enemies, but all the people rejoiced at the wonderful things he did.

People who despise advice are asking for trouble; those who respect a command will succeed.

Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you.Instead, be very glad— for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you will be blessed, for the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you.

so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.

So don’t be surprised, dear brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.

Don’t stare at me because I am dark— the sun has darkened my skin. My brothers were angry with me; they forced me to care for their vineyards, so I couldn’t care for myself— my own vineyard.

while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.

What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man.When that happens, be happy! Yes, leap for joy! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, their ancestors treated the ancient prophets that same way.

Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away— all who have been called by the Lord our God.”Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners,“ Save yourselves from this crooked generation!”Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day— about 3,000 in all.All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals( including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders.And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had.They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need.They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity—all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.

For some of the Jews killed the prophets, and some even killed the Lord Jesus. Now they have persecuted us, too. They fail to please God and work against all humanityas they try to keep us from preaching the Good News of salvation to the Gentiles. By doing this, they continue to pile up their sins. But the anger of God has caught up with them at last.

For you will be expelled from the synagogues, and the time is coming when those who kill you will think they are doing a holy service for God.

“ I used to believe that I ought to do everything I could to oppose the very name of Jesus the Nazarene.Indeed, I did just that in Jerusalem. Authorized by the leading priests, I caused many believers there to be sent to prison. And I cast my vote against them when they were condemned to death.

In his justice he will pay back those who persecute you.And God will provide rest for you who are being persecuted and also for us when the Lord Jesus appears from heaven. He will come with his mighty angels,in flaming fire, bringing judgment on those who don’t know God and on those who refuse to obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus.They will be punished with eternal destruction, forever separated from the Lord and from his glorious power.When he comes on that day, he will receive glory from his holy people— praise from all who believe. And this includes you, for you believed what we told you about him.

“ Though you were once despised and hated, with no one traveling through you, I will make you beautiful forever, a joy to all generations.
