我必擇其所受誘惑、以彼所懼加於其身、因我有命彼不應、有言彼不從、行我所惡、擇我所不悅也、○

我亦必特降之以災、以彼所懼者加諸其身、緣我召彼、無人應、我有言、我有言或作我誨彼無人聽、行我所惡者、行我所惡者或作行惡於我前擇我所不悅者、○

我命定你們歸於刀劍，你們所有的人都將在屠殺中倒下。因為我呼喚，你們不回應；我說話，你們不聽從；你們做我眼中看為惡的事，選擇我所不喜悅的事。」

既然我呼喚了，你們拒絕，我伸出了手，沒有人留心，

惡人所懼怕的必臨到他，義人所渴望的必蒙應允。

所以他們將吃盡自己行為的果實，飽嘗自己計謀的後果。要知道，無知人的背道將害死自己，愚昧人的安樂將毀了自己；

因為假基督們和假先知們會出現，行大神蹟和奇事，如果有可能，甚至迷惑那些蒙揀選的人。

我就任憑他們心裡頑固，隨自己的計謀而行。

為什麼我來的時候，沒有人在呢？為什麼我呼喚的時候，沒有人回應呢？難道我的手臂太短不能救贖嗎？難道我沒有能力解救嗎？看哪！我發出斥責，使海洋乾涸，使河流成為曠野；其中的魚因無水而發臭，因乾渴而死去。

「天國好比一個君王，為自己的兒子預備婚宴。他派了奴僕們去叫那些被邀請的人前來赴宴，可是他們不肯來。王又派了別的奴僕，說：『你們去對那些被邀請的人說，看哪，我的午餐我已經預備好了，公牛和肥畜已經宰殺了，一切都預備好了，請你們來赴婚宴。』「但那些人不理，就走開了，有的到自己的田裡去，有的做自己的生意去。其餘的竟抓住王的奴僕們，凌辱他們，並且把他們殺了。王就發怒，派軍兵除滅那些凶手，燒毀了他們的城。

並且使用一切不義的詭計，因為他們不接受那能使他們得救的真理之愛。為此，神就把一種迷惑人的力量送進他們裡面，使他們相信虛假之事，好使所有不相信真理而喜悅不義的人，都被定罪。

這子民當著我的面不斷地惹我惱怒，他們在園林裡獻祭，在磚頭上燒香；
