凡其所為者必不徒勞、所生子女必不夭亡、皆蒙我賜福之人、凡其所生者亦若是、凡其所生者亦若是或作凡其所生者與之同在

They will not labor in vain, nor will they bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the Lord, they and their descendants with them.

Their work will not be worthless anymore. They will not have children who are sure to face sudden terror. Instead, I will bless them. I will also bless their children after them.

They shall not labor in vain or bear children for calamity, for they shall be the offspring of the blessed of the Lord, and their descendants with them.

For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

They will be my people, and I will be their God.I will give them integrity of heart and action so that they will fear me always, for their good and for the good of their descendants after them.

You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.Your offspring will be blessed, and your land’s produce, and the offspring of your livestock, including the young of your herds and the newborn of your flocks.Your basket and kneading bowl will be blessed.You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.“ The LORD will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you. They will march out against you from one direction but flee from you in seven directions.The LORD will grant you a blessing on your barns and on everything you do; he will bless you in the land the LORD your God is giving you.The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he swore to you, if you obey the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways.Then all the peoples of the earth will see that you bear the LORD’s name, and they will stand in awe of you.The LORD will make you prosper abundantly with offspring, the offspring of your livestock, and your land’s produce in the land the LORD swore to your ancestors to give you.The LORD will open for you his abundant storehouse, the sky, to give your land rain in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow.

Why do you spend silver on what is not food, and your wages on what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to me, and eat what is good, and you will enjoy the choicest of foods.

May the LORD add to your numbers, both yours and your children’s.May you be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

I will whistle and gather them because I have redeemed them; they will be as numerous as they once were.Though I sow them among the nations, they will remember me in the distant lands; they and their children will live and return.

Is there still seed left in the granary? The vine, the fig, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yet produced. But from this day on I will bless you.”

Neither is it the case that all of Abraham’s children are his descendants. On the contrary, your offspring will be traced through Isaac.That is, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but the children of the promise are considered to be the offspring.

“ If you follow my statutes and faithfully observe my commands,I will give you rain at the right time, and the land will yield its produce, and the trees of the field will bear their fruit.Your threshing will continue until grape harvest, and the grape harvest will continue until sowing time; you will have plenty of food to eat and live securely in your land.I will give peace to the land, and you will lie down with nothing to frighten you. I will remove dangerous animals from the land, and no sword will pass through your land.You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall before you by the sword.Five of you will pursue a hundred, and a hundred of you will pursue ten thousand; your enemies will fall before you by the sword.“ I will turn to you, make you fruitful and multiply you, and confirm my covenant with you.You will eat the old grain of the previous year and will clear out the old to make room for the new.

I will confirm my covenant that is between me and you and your future offspring throughout their generations. It is a permanent covenant to be your God and the God of your offspring after you.

I will make you into a great nation, I will bless you, I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs according to the promise.

You have planted much but harvested little. You eat but never have enough to be satisfied. You drink but never have enough to be happy. You put on clothes but never have enough to get warm. The wage earner puts his wages into a bag with a hole in it.”

This is why the promise is by faith, so that it may be according to grace, to guarantee it to all the descendants— not only to the one who is of the law but also to the one who is of Abraham’s faith. He is the father of us all.

“ You will sow much seed in the field but harvest little, because locusts will devour it.You will plant and cultivate vineyards but not drink the wine or gather the grapes, because worms will eat them.You will have olive trees throughout your territory but not moisten your skin with oil, because your olives will drop off.You will father sons and daughters, but they will not remain yours, because they will be taken prisoner.Buzzing insects will take possession of all your trees and your land’s produce.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

You will eat the flesh of your sons; you will eat the flesh of your daughters.

Ephraim’s glory will fly away like a bird: no birth, no pregnancy, no conception.Even if they raise children, I will bereave them of each one. Yes, woe to them when I depart from them!I have seen Ephraim like Tyre, planted in a meadow, so Ephraim will bring out his children to the executioner.Give them, LORD— What should you give? Give them a womb that miscarries and breasts that are dry!

I will send wild animals against you that will deprive you of your children, ravage your livestock, and reduce your numbers until your roads are deserted.

and your strength will be used up for nothing. Your land will not yield its produce, and the trees of the land will not bear their fruit.

Bring the full tenth into the storehouse so that there may be food in my house. Test me in this way,” says the LORD of Armies.“ See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out a blessing for you without measure.

You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your ancestors, saying to Abraham, And all the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.God raised up his servant and sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your evil ways.”
