They will not labor in vain, nor will they bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the Lord, they and their descendants with them.

Their work will not be worthless anymore. They will not have children who are sure to face sudden terror. Instead, I will bless them. I will also bless their children after them.

Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy beasts, the increase of thy cattle, and the young of thy flock.Blessed shall be thy basket and thy kneading- trough.Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.Jehovah will cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thee: they shall come out against thee one way, and shall flee before thee seven ways.Jehovah will command the blessing upon thee in thy barns, and in all that thou puttest thy hand unto; and he will bless thee in the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.Jehovah will establish thee for a holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee; if thou shalt keep the commandments of Jehovah thy God, and walk in his ways.And all the peoples of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of Jehovah; and they shall be afraid of thee.And Jehovah will make thee plenteous for good, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which Jehovah sware unto thy fathers to give thee.Jehovah will open unto thee his good treasure the heavens, to give the rain of thy land in its season, and to bless all the work of thy hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Jehovah increase you more and more, You and your children.Blessed are ye of Jehovah, Who made heaven and earth.

I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them; and they shall increase as they have increased.And I will sow them among the peoples; and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and shall return.

Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, the vine, and the fig- tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive- tree have not brought forth; from this day will I bless you.

neither, because they are Abraham’s seed, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.That is, it is not the children of the flesh that are children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned for a seed.

If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;then I will give your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.And five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand; and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.And I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and will establish my covenant with you.And ye shall eat old store long kept, and ye shall bring forth the old because of the new.

And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee and to thy seed after thee.

and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and be thou a blessing:

And if ye are Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, heirs according to promise.

Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

For this cause it is of faith, that it may be according to grace; to the end that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather little in; for the locust shall consume it.Thou shalt plant vineyards and dress them, but thou shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worm shall eat them.Thou shalt have olive- trees throughout all thy borders, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast its fruit.Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but they shall not be thine; for they shall go into captivity.All thy trees and the fruit of thy ground shall the locust possess.

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not vain in the Lord.

And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird: there shall be no birth, and none with child, and no conception.Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, so that not a man shall be left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!Ephraim, like as I have seen Tyre, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring out his children to the slayer.Give them, O Jehovah— what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.

And I will send the beast of the field among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your ways shall become desolate.

and your strength shall be spent in vain; for your land shall not yield its increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruit.

Bring ye the whole tithe into the store- house, that there may be food in my house, and prove me now herewith, saith Jehovah of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Ye are the sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with your fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.Unto you first God, having raised up his Servant, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.
