『因為看吧，我化造新的天新的地，先前的事不再被懷念了，不再回上心頭了。

『永恆主發神諭說：我所要造的新天新地要怎樣在我面前長存立着，你們的後裔和你們的名字也必怎樣長存立着。

我看見有新的天和新的地；因為先前的天先前的地、已經過去；海也不再有了。我看見聖城、新的耶路撒冷、由上帝那裏、從天上降下來，豫備好了、像新婦妝飾齊整、等候着丈夫。我聽見有大聲音從寶座間發出，說：『看哪，上帝榮現之幕所在人中間；他必與人同住；他們必做他的子民；上帝必親自與他們同在，他必擦去他們眼上一切的眼淚；必不再有死亡；也不再有哀慟哭號或疼痛；因為先前的事都過去了。』坐寶座的說：『看哪，我正使一切都徹底創新呢。』（又說：『你要寫下來，因為這些話是可信可靠真實的話。』）

『你們不要懷念先前的事，往古的事、也不要思想。

永恆主發神諭說：將來你們在此地增多繁殖起來、那些日子、人必不再提說『永恆主的約櫃』；約櫃必不再湧上人的心頭；人必不再想念它，不覺得失掉它，也不再製造它。

我將我的話放在你口中，將你掩護在我手的蔭影下，我展開了諸天，奠定了大地，又對錫安說：「你、乃是我的子民。」』
