約書亞連同以色列眾人、把謝拉的曾孫亞干、和那銀子、那件袍子、那條金子、跟他的兒子和女兒、他的牛、驢、羊、帳棚、以及他一切所有的、都帶上亞割山谷去。約書亞說：『你為甚麼把我們搞壞呢？今天永恆主必搞壞你。』於是以色列眾人扔石頭把他砍死，用火燒了他們，又拿石頭丟在他們上頭。這樣，眾人就在亞干身上立起一大堆石頭；那堆石頭到今日還在；於是永恆主就回心轉意、不發烈怒。因此那地方到今日還叫亞割山谷。

我必將他們從外族之民中領出來，從列邦中招集攏來，帶到他們的本地；我必在以色列山上、在所有的水溝旁、在境內一切可居之處、牧養他們。我必在美好草場牧養他們；他們的圈必在以色列高地的山上；在那裏他們可以在美好的圈裏躺臥着，也可以在以色列山上、在肥美草場上喫草。
