Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

You turn things upside down! Shall the potter be regarded as the clay, that the thing made should say of its maker,“ He did not make me”; or the thing formed say of him who formed it,“ He has no understanding”?

“ Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will let you hear my words.”So I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was working at his wheel.And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.Then the word of the Lord came to me:“ O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? declares the Lord. Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

“ Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to him who forms it,‘ What are you making?’ or‘ Your work has no handles’?

Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

For you are our Father, though Abraham does not know us, and Israel does not acknowledge us; you, O Lord, are our Father, our Redeemer from of old is your name.

everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”

The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.

[ Yodh] Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments.

Remember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are my servant; I formed you; you are my servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by me.

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb:“ I am the Lord, who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself,

But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder,“ Why have you made me like this?”Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use?What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory—even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles?

for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.

Your hands fashioned and made me, and now you have destroyed me altogether.Remember that you have made me like clay; and will you return me to the dust?

Do you thus repay the Lord, you foolish and senseless people? Is not he your father, who created you, who made you and established you?

And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.

Then you shall say to Pharaoh,‘ Thus says the Lord, Israel is my firstborn son,
