There is no one who calls on Your name, Who stirs himself to take hold of You; For You have hidden Your face from us And have surrendered us to the power of our wrongdoings.

呼籲爾名、黽勉恃爾、無其人也、爾掩面弗顧、以我罪戾、使我消亡、

呼籲爾者無人、懇求爾者無人、爾遐棄予、緣我罪戾、使我消亡。

籲主名者無人、盡意賴主盡意賴主或作奮勉恃主者無人、主掩面不顧我、緣我罪愆、主使我消亡、

No one calls on your name or strives to lay hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us and have given us over to our sins.

No one prays to you. No one asks you for help. You have turned your face away from us. You have let us feel the effects of our sins.

There is no one who calls upon your name, who rouses himself to take hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us, and have made us melt in the hand of our iniquities.

Yet no one calls on your name or pleads with you for mercy. Therefore, you have turned away from us and turned us over to our sins.

No one calls on your name, striving to take hold of you. For you have hidden your face from us and made us melt because of our iniquity.

And there is no one who calls on Your name, Who stirs himself up to take hold of You; For You have hidden Your face from us, And have consumed us because of our iniquities.

And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee; for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us by means of our iniquities.

No one calls on Your name, striving to take hold of You. For You have hidden Your face from us and made us melt because of our iniquity.

No one invokes your name, or makes an effort to take hold of you. For you have rejected us and handed us over to our own sins.

I searched for a man among them who would build up a wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.

All of them are hot like an oven, And they consume their rulers; All their kings have fallen. None of them calls on Me.

And He saw that there was no one, And was amazed that there was not one to intercede; Then His own arm brought salvation to Him, And His righteousness upheld Him.

“ The Lord saw this, and spurned them Because of the provocation by His sons and daughters.Then He said,‘ I will hide My face from them, I will see what their end will be; For they are a perverse generation, Sons in whom there is no faithfulness.They have made Me jealous with what is not God; They have provoked Me to anger with their idols. So I will make them jealous with those who are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation,For a fire has flared in My anger, And it burns to the lowest part of Sheol, And devours the earth with its yield, And sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.‘ I will add misfortunes to them; I will use up My arrows on them.They will be wasted by famine, and emaciated by plague And a bitter epidemic; And the teeth of beasts I will send against them, With the venom of crawling things of the dust.Outside the sword will make them childless, And inside, terror— Both young man and virgin, The nursing child with the man of gray hair.

Or let him rely on My protection, Let him make peace with Me, Let him make peace with Me.”

In an outburst of anger I hid My face from you for a moment, But with everlasting favor I will have compassion on you,” Says the Lord your Redeemer.

Then set it empty on its burning coals So that it may be hot And its bronze may glow, And its filthiness may be melted in it, Its rust eliminated.

“ Son of man, the house of Israel has become waste metal to Me; all of them are bronze, tin, iron, and lead in the smelting furnace; they are the waste metal of silver.Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:‘ Because all of you have become waste metal, therefore, behold, I am going to gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.As they gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the smelting furnace to blow fire on it in order to melt it, so I will gather you in My anger and in My wrath, and I will place you there and melt you.And I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you will be melted in the midst of it.As silver is melted in the furnace, so you will be melted in the midst of it; and you will know that I, the Lord, have poured out My wrath on you.’ ”

And they do not cry to Me from their heart When they wail on their beds; For the sake of grain and new wine they assemble themselves, They turn against Me.

Because of the wrongful act of his unjust gain I was angry and struck him; I hid My face and was angry, And he went on turning away, in the way of his heart.

Why was there no one when I came? When I called, why was there no one to answer? Is My hand so short that it cannot redeem? Or do I have no power to rescue? Behold, I dry up the sea with My rebuke, I turn rivers into a wilderness; Their fish stink for lack of water, And die of thirst.

Do all the workers of injustice not know, Who devour my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon the Lord?

But your wrongdoings have caused a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.

No one sues righteously and no one pleads honestly. They trust in confusion and speak lies; They conceive trouble and give birth to disaster.

Then My anger will be kindled against them on that day, and I will abandon them and hide My face from them, and they will be consumed, and many evils and troubles will find them; so they will say on that day,‘ Is it not because our God is not among us that these evils have found us?’But I will assuredly hide My face on that day because of all the evil that they will have done, for they will have turned away to other gods.

So when you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you offer many prayers, I will not be listening. Your hands are covered with blood.

If your sons sinned against Him, Then He turned them over to the power of their wrongdoing.

For this is what the Lord says:“ To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold firmly to My covenant,

Therefore this is what the Lord of armies says:“ Behold, I will refine them and put them to the test; For what else can I do, because of the daughter of My people?

I will go away and return to My place Until they acknowledge their guilt and seek My face; In their distress they will search for Me.
