You come to the help of those who gladly do right, who remember your ways. But when we continued to sin against them, you were angry. How then can we be saved?

You come to help those who enjoy doing what is right. You help those who thank you for teaching them how to live. But when we continued to disobey you, you became angry with us. So how can we be saved?

You meet him who joyfully works righteousness, those who remember you in your ways. Behold, you were angry, and we sinned; in our sins we have been a long time, and shall we be saved?

You welcome those who gladly do good, who follow godly ways. But you have been very angry with us, for we are not godly. We are constant sinners; how can people like us be saved?

You welcome the one who joyfully does what is right; they remember you in your ways. But we have sinned, and you were angry. How can we be saved if we remain in our sins?

You meet him who rejoices in doing righteousness, Who remembers You in Your ways. Behold, You were angry, for we sinned, We continued in our sins for a long time; Yet shall we be saved?

“‘ Make an altar of earth for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your sheep and goats and your cattle. Wherever I cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and bless you. (niv)

“ I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. (niv)

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. (niv)

He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly.One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said,“ Cornelius!”Cornelius stared at him in fear.“ What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered,“ Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God. (niv)

This is what the Lord says:“ Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed.Blessed is the one who does this— the person who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps their hands from doing any evil.”Let no foreigner who is bound to the Lord say,“ The Lord will surely exclude me from his people.” And let no eunuch complain,“ I am only a dry tree.”For this is what the Lord says:“ To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, who choose what pleases me and hold fast to my covenant—to them I will give within my temple and its walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will endure forever.And foreigners who bind themselves to the Lord to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant—these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” (niv)

All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant. (niv)

Put the altar in front of the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law— before the atonement cover that is over the tablets of the covenant law— where I will meet with you. (niv)

“ For the generations to come this burnt offering is to be made regularly at the entrance to the tent of meeting, before the Lord. There I will meet you and speak to you;there also I will meet with the Israelites, and the place will be consecrated by my glory. (niv)

Yet they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. So he turned and became their enemy and he himself fought against them. (niv)

Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (niv)

“ How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I treat you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboyim? My heart is changed within me; all my compassion is aroused. (niv)

But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children— (niv)

but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. (niv)

There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites. (niv)

Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness. (niv)

“ I have surely heard Ephraim’s moaning:‘ You disciplined me like an unruly calf, and I have been disciplined. Restore me, and I will return, because you are the Lord my God.After I strayed, I repented; after I came to understand, I beat my breast. I was ashamed and humiliated because I bore the disgrace of my youth.’Is not Ephraim my dear son, the child in whom I delight? Though I often speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore my heart yearns for him; I have great compassion for him,” declares the Lord. (niv)

Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who fear the Lord, who find great delight in his commands. (niv)

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. (niv)

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (niv)
