用榮耀的臂膀扶持摩西，在他們面前把海水分開，使自己威名永存的那位在哪裡？

如果當初約書亞已經讓他們得到了安息，上帝就不必另定一個日子了。這樣說來，必定另有一個安息日為上帝的子民存留，使他們可以真正安歇。因為人進入上帝的安息，就是歇了自己的工作，好像上帝歇了祂的工作一樣。因此，我們要竭力進入那安息，免得重蹈他們的覆轍，因不順服而倒斃。

此後很長時間，耶和華使以色列人四境太平，沒有戰事。約書亞年事已高，

世上哪個民族比得上你的以色列子民呢？你從埃及救出他們，讓他們做你的子民，又彰顯你的大名，行神蹟奇事，把列國及其神明從你的以色列子民面前趕走。

好讓我們這些首先在基督裡得到盼望的人都來頌讚祂的榮耀。

但我憑我的永恆起誓，正如大地充滿我的榮耀一樣確實，

「在至高之處，願榮耀歸於上帝！在地上，願平安臨到祂所喜悅的人！」

我們讚美祂奇妙無比的恩典，這恩典是上帝藉著祂的愛子賜給我們的。

現在你們的上帝耶和華已經照祂的應許使你們的弟兄安居，你們可以回到約旦河東，到摩西賜給你們作產業的地方。

利未人耶書亞、甲篾、巴尼、哈沙尼、示利比、荷第雅、示巴尼和毗他希雅說：「起來稱頌你們的上帝耶和華，直到永永遠遠。耶和華啊，你榮耀的聖名當受稱頌！願你的名被尊崇，超過一切稱頌和讚美！

我們的上帝啊，我們稱頌你，讚美你榮耀的名。
