王就發怒，派軍兵除滅那些凶手，燒毀了他們的城。

諸天哪，你們當聽！大地啊，你當傾聽！因為耶和華說：「我養育兒女，帶大了他們，他們卻悖逆了我。

我終日向悖逆的子民伸出我的手。他們隨著自己的意念行不善之道；

不要從你面前把我丟棄，不要從我身上收回你的聖靈。

他向他們發出猛烈的怒氣——盛怒、憤怒和患難，像一隊降禍的使者。

以免像他們的祖先，成為頑梗悖逆、心裡不堅定、靈裡對神不忠實的一代。
