耶路撒冷城垣、必置邏卒以察之、凡籲耶和華者、當晝夜不息、求之不已、待其建造耶路撒冷、使輝耀於天下。

I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest,

Jerusalem, I have stationed guards on your walls. They must never be silent day or night. You who call out to the Lord must not give yourselves any rest.

On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. You who put the Lord in remembrance, take no rest,

O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord.

Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen on your walls; they will never be silent, day or night. There is no rest for you, who remind the LORD.

On your walls, Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; All day and all night they will never keep silent. You who profess the Lord, take no rest for yourselves;

I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent,

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that are Jehovah’s remembrancers, take ye no rest,

Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen on your walls; they will never be silent, day or night. There is no rest for you, who remind the Lord.

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem,[ which] shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,

I post watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they should keep praying all day and all night. You who pray to the LORD, don’t be silent!

Your watchmen lift up their voice. Together they sing; for they shall see eye to eye when Yahweh returns to Zion.

His watchmen are blind. They are all without knowledge. They are all mute dogs. They can’t bark— dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.

Pray without ceasing.

“ Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore hear the word from my mouth, and warn them from me.When I tell the wicked,‘ You will surely die;’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; that wicked man will die in his iniquity; but I will require his blood at your hand.Yet if you warn the wicked, and he doesn’t turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.”“ Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he will die. Because you have not given him warning, he will die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered; but I will require his blood at your hand.Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous not sin, and he does not sin, he will surely live, because he took warning; and you have delivered your soul.”

I set watchmen over you, saying,‘ Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But they said,‘ We will not listen!’

“ Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and tell them,‘ When I bring the sword on a land, and the people of the land take a man from among them, and set him for their watchman;if, when he sees the sword come on the land, he blows the trumpet, and warns the people;then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet, and doesn’t heed the warning, if the sword comes, and takes him away, his blood will be on his own head.He heard the sound of the trumpet, and didn’t take warning. His blood will be on him; whereas if he had heeded the warning, he would have delivered his soul.But if the watchman sees the sword come, and doesn’t blow the trumpet, and the people aren’t warned, and the sword comes, and takes any person from among them; he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’“ So you, son of man: I have set you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore hear the word from my mouth, and give them warnings from me.When I tell the wicked,‘ O wicked man, you will surely die,’ and you don’t speak to warn the wicked from his way; that wicked man will die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at your hand.Nevertheless, if you warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, and he doesn’t turn from his way; he will die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul.

He said to them,“ Which of you, if you go to a friend at midnight, and tell him,‘ Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him,’and he from within will answer and say,‘ Don’t bother me. The door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I can’t get up and give it to you’?I tell you, although he will not rise and give it to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence, he will get up and give him as many as he needs.“ I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.“ Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won’t give him a snake instead of a fish, will he?Or if he asks for an egg, he won’t give him a scorpion, will he?If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old, which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance: Mount Zion, in which you have lived.

Look! Praise Yahweh, all you servants of Yahweh, who stand by night in Yahweh’s house!Lift up your hands in the sanctuary. Praise Yahweh!

He appointed, according to the ordinance of David his father, the divisions of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their offices, to praise and to minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required; the doorkeepers also by their divisions at every gate, for David the man of God had so commanded.

The man said,“ Let me go, for the day breaks.” Jacob said,“ I won’t let you go unless you bless me.”

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch on behalf of your souls, as those who will give account, that they may do this with joy, and not with groaning, for that would be unprofitable for you.

Remember this, that the enemy has mocked you, Yahweh. Foolish people have blasphemed your name.

For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness shines out like the dawn, and her salvation like a burning lamp.

You said,‘ I will surely do you good, and make your offspring as the sand of the sea, which can’t be counted because there are so many.’”

He, fastening his eyes on him, and being frightened, said,“ What is it, Lord?” He said to him,“ Your prayers and your gifts to the needy have gone up for a memorial before God.

God has set some in the assembly: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracle workers, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, and various kinds of languages.

The watchmen who go about the city found me. They beat me. They bruised me. The keepers of the walls took my cloak away from me.

Those who led the way rebuked him, that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more,“ You son of David, have mercy on me!”

Put me in remembrance. Let us plead together. Declare your case, that you may be justified.

He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers;for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ,

and said,‘ Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and your gifts to the needy are remembered in the sight of God.

They cried with a loud voice, saying,“ How long, Master, the holy and true, until you judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”

Before the throne was something like a sea of glass, similar to crystal. In the middle of the throne, and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes before and behind.The first creature was like a lion, and the second creature like a calf, and the third creature had a face like a man, and the fourth was like a flying eagle.The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying,“ Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come!”

He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up,saying,“ There was a judge in a certain city who didn’t fear God, and didn’t respect man.A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying,‘ Defend me from my adversary!’He wouldn’t for a while, but afterward he said to himself,‘ Though I neither fear God, nor respect man,yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.’”The Lord said,“ Listen to what the unrighteous judge says.Won’t God avenge his chosen ones who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

Behold, a Canaanite woman came out from those borders, and cried, saying,“ Have mercy on me, Lord, you son of David! My daughter is severely possessed by a demon!”But he answered her not a word. His disciples came and begged him, saying,“ Send her away; for she cries after us.”But he answered,“ I wasn’t sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”But she came and worshiped him, saying,“ Lord, help me.”But he answered,“ It is not appropriate to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”But she said,“ Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”

The watchmen who go about the city found me;“ Have you seen him whom my soul loves?”

Now please let the power of the Lord be great, according as you have spoken, saying,‘ Yahweh is slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, forgiving iniquity and disobedience; and he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation.’Please pardon the iniquity of this people according to the greatness of your loving kindness, and just as you have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.”
