Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.

A seraph flew over to me. He was holding a hot coal. He had used tongs to take it from the altar.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs.

另有一位天使，拿着金香爐來，站在祭壇旁邊。有許多香賜給他，要和眾聖徒的祈禱一同獻在寶座前的金壇上。那香的煙和眾聖徒的祈禱從天使的手中一同升到神面前。天使拿着香爐，盛滿了壇上的火，倒在地上；隨有雷轟、大聲、閃電、地震。

按着律法，凡物差不多都是用血潔淨的；若不流血，罪就不得赦免了。照着天上樣式做的物件必須用這些祭物去潔淨；但那天上的本物自然當用更美的祭物去潔淨。因為基督並不是進了人手所造的聖所（這不過是真聖所的影像），乃是進了天堂，如今為我們顯在神面前；也不是多次將自己獻上，像那大祭司每年帶着牛羊的血進入聖所，如果這樣，他從創世以來，就必多次受苦了。但如今在這末世顯現一次，把自己獻為祭，好除掉罪。

主對那穿細麻衣的人說：「你進去，在旋轉的輪內基路伯以下，從基路伯中間將火炭取滿兩手，撒在城上。」我就見他進去。

拿香爐，從耶和華面前的壇上盛滿火炭，又拿一捧搗細的香料，都帶入幔子內，

我們有一祭壇，上面的祭物是那些在帳幕中供職的人不可同吃的。

論到使者，又說：神以風為使者，以火焰為僕役；

天使豈不都是服役的靈、奉差遣為那將要承受救恩的人效力嗎？

我是用水給你們施洗，叫你們悔改。但那在我以後來的，能力比我更大，我就是給他提鞋也不配。他要用聖靈與火給你們施洗。

又有舌頭如火焰顯現出來，分開落在他們各人頭上。

其上有撒拉弗侍立，各有六個翅膀：用兩個翅膀遮臉，兩個翅膀遮腳，兩個翅膀飛翔；

我正禱告的時候，先前在異象中所見的那位加百列，奉命迅速飛來，約在獻晚祭的時候，按手在我身上。他指教我說：「但以理啊，現在我出來要使你有智慧，有聰明。你初懇求的時候，就發出命令，我來告訴你，因你大蒙眷愛；所以你要思想明白這以下的事和異象。
