Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.

A seraph flew over to me. He was holding a hot coal. He had used tongs to take it from the altar.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs.

隨後，另一位天使來了，拿著金香爐，站在祭壇旁邊。他被賜予了很多香，要和所有聖徒的禱告一起獻在寶座前的金祭壇上。那香的煙和聖徒們的禱告，從天使的手中升到神的面前。接著，那位天使拿起香爐，把它裝滿了祭壇上的火，扔到地上；於是就有雷鳴、聲音、閃電和地震。

按照律法，幾乎一切都是用血潔淨的；沒有流血，就沒有赦免。既然那些諸天之上事物的模型，必須用這些祭物來潔淨，那天上事物的本體就必須用比這些更好的祭物來潔淨，因為基督不是進入了人手所造的聖所——那不過是真聖所的象徵——而是進入了上天本身，如今替我們顯現在神的面前。他也不用再三地將自己獻上，像大祭司年年帶著牛羊的血進入聖所那樣，否則，從創世以來，他就必須再三地受難了。但如今，他在萬世的末期顯現了一次，好藉著獻上自己為祭，把罪除掉。

我們有一個祭壇，這壇上的祭物，是那些在會幕中事奉的人沒有權利吃的。

關於天使，他確實說：「神使他的天使為風，使他的僕役為烈火。」

難道所有的天使不都是服事的靈、奉差派服事那些將要繼承救恩的人嗎？

「我用水給你們施洗，是為了你們的悔改。但在我之後來的那一位，是比我更強有力的，我就是為他提鞋子也不配。他要用聖靈和火給你們施洗。

有舌頭像火焰那樣，向他們顯現，分開留在他們每一個人身上。

撒拉弗侍立在他的上方，各有六個翅膀；用兩個翅膀遮臉，兩個翅膀遮腳，兩個翅膀飛翔。

我還在禱告中說話的時候，先前的異象中見過的那位樣貌像人的加百列快速地飛到我這裡來；那時大約是獻晚祭的時候。他指示我，對我說：「但以理啊，現在我出來，為要使你明達、有悟性！在你開始懇求的時候，就有命令發出，於是我來告訴你，因為你是蒙愛的；你當領悟這話語，要領悟這異象！
