Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.

A seraph flew over to me. He was holding a hot coal. He had used tongs to take it from the altar.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.

随后，另一位天使来了，拿着金香炉，站在祭坛旁边。他被赐予了很多香，要和所有圣徒的祷告一起献在宝座前的金祭坛上。那香的烟和圣徒们的祷告，从天使的手中升到神的面前。接着，那位天使拿起香炉，把它装满了祭坛上的火，扔到地上；于是就有雷鸣、声音、闪电和地震。

按照律法，几乎一切都是用血洁净的；没有流血，就没有赦免。既然那些诸天之上事物的模型，必须用这些祭物来洁净，那天上事物的本体就必须用比这些更好的祭物来洁净，因为基督不是进入了人手所造的圣所——那不过是真圣所的象征——而是进入了上天本身，如今替我们显现在神的面前。他也不用再三地将自己献上，像大祭司年年带着牛羊的血进入圣所那样，否则，从创世以来，他就必须再三地受难了。但如今，他在万世的末期显现了一次，好藉着献上自己为祭，把罪除掉。

我们有一个祭坛，这坛上的祭物，是那些在会幕中事奉的人没有权利吃的。

关于天使，他确实说：“神使他的天使为风，使他的仆役为烈火。”

难道所有的天使不都是服事的灵、奉差派服事那些将要继承救恩的人吗？

“我用水给你们施洗，是为了你们的悔改。但在我之后来的那一位，是比我更强有力的，我就是为他提鞋子也不配。他要用圣灵和火给你们施洗。

有舌头像火焰那样，向他们显现，分开留在他们每一个人身上。

撒拉弗侍立在他的上方，各有六个翅膀；用两个翅膀遮脸，两个翅膀遮脚，两个翅膀飞翔。

我还在祷告中说话的时候，先前的异象中见过的那位样貌像人的加百列快速地飞到我这里来；那时大约是献晚祭的时候。他指示我，对我说：“但以理啊，现在我出来，为要使你明达、有悟性！在你开始恳求的时候，就有命令发出，于是我来告诉你，因为你是蒙爱的；你当领悟这话语，要领悟这异象！
