Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.

A seraph flew over to me. He was holding a hot coal. He had used tongs to take it from the altar.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me, and in his hand was a glowing coal that he had taken from the altar with tongs.

另一位天使手裡拿著金香爐上前來，站在祭壇旁邊。他接過了許多香，把香和眾聖徒的祈禱一起獻在寶座前的金壇上。這香發出的煙，連同眾聖徒的禱告從那天使的手中向上升，直達上帝面前。天使又拿著香爐，盛滿祭壇的火，將它倒在地上，於是有雷鳴、巨響、閃電和地震。

根據律法，幾乎所有的器具都要用血來潔淨，因為若不流血，罪就得不到赦免。既然仿照天上的樣式所造的器具需要用祭牲的血來潔淨，天上的原物當然要用更美的祭物來潔淨。因為基督並非進入了人手所造的聖所，那只是真聖所的縮影，祂是進入了天堂，替我們來到上帝面前。祂在天上不必一次又一次地把自己獻上，好像那些大祭司年年都帶著牛羊的血進入至聖所。否則，自創世以來，祂不知道要受難多少次了。但如今在這世代的末期，祂只一次獻上自己，便除去了人的罪。

耶和華對那穿細麻衣的人說：「你到基路伯天使下邊旋轉的輪子中間，雙手拿滿火炭，撒在城上。」我見他進去了。

然後拿一個香爐，盛滿從耶和華面前的祭壇上取的火炭，再拿兩把磨細的香帶進幔子裡。

我們有一座祭壇，壇上的祭物是那些在聖幕裡工作的人沒有權利吃的。

上帝提到天使的時候，也只是說：「上帝使祂的天使成為風，使祂的僕役成為火焰。」

天使豈不都是服役的靈嗎？他們奉差遣，豈不是去為那些將要承受救恩的人服務嗎？

我用水為你們施洗，叫你們悔改。但在我之後，有位比我更有能力的要來，我連替祂提鞋都不配。祂要用聖靈和火為你們施洗。

又有火焰般的舌頭顯現出來，分別落在各人的頭上。

在祂上方侍立著撒拉弗天使，他們各有三對翅膀：一對遮臉，一對遮腳，一對飛翔。

我正禱告的時候，先前在異象中看見的那位加百列奉命疾飛而來。那是獻晚祭的時候。他向我解釋說：「但以理啊，我來是要使你有智慧和悟性。你剛開始祈求，就已賜下答覆，我是來告訴你的，因為你倍受眷愛。所以你要留意以下的信息，明白異象的意思。
