‘听着，你们这群愚昧无知的人啊，你们视而不见，听而不闻。

我可以警告谁呢？谁会听呢？他们耳朵闭塞，什么也听不见！看啊，耶和华的话逆耳，他们毫不喜欢。

光来到世上，世人因为自己的行为邪恶而不爱光，反爱黑暗，这就是他们被定罪的原因。作恶的人恨光，不肯接近光，恐怕他们的罪行暴露出来。

他们却不理会，背过身去，充耳不闻，

“但耶书仑吃饱喝足，养肥长壮后，就得意忘形，背弃造他们的上帝，藐视救他们的磐石。

他们良心丧尽，口出狂言。

因为耶和华把沉睡的灵倾倒在你们身上，祂封住你们的眼睛，盖住你们的头。你们的眼睛就是先知，你们的头就是先见。

耶和华啊！你为何使我们偏离你的路，使我们硬着心不敬畏你呢？求你为了你的仆人，你的产业——以色列各支派而改变心意！

希实本王西宏却拒绝我们的请求，因为我们的上帝耶和华使他顽固不化，好让我们击败他，正如今日的情形。

我不是派你到那些语言陌生、难懂、你听不明白的民族中。我若果真派你到他们那里，他们一定会听你的话。然而以色列人却不肯听从你，因为他们顽固不化，不肯听从我。不过，我要使你的脸像他们的脸一样硬，使你的额像他们的额一样硬。我要使你的额比火石更硬，如同金刚石。他们虽然是一群叛逆的人，你不要害怕，也不要因为他们的脸色而惊慌。”祂又说：“人子啊，你要留心听我说的一切话，牢记在心。你要到你那些被掳的同胞那里，不论他们听不听，你都要向他们宣告，‘主耶和华这样说。’”

他们执迷不悟，但我喜爱你的律法。

我要使埃及人的心刚硬，他们会紧追不舍，跟着你们走进海底。我要在法老及其大军、战车和骑兵身上得到荣耀。

摩西和亚伦在法老面前行了这一切的神迹，但耶和华使法老的心刚硬，他不让以色列人离开他的国土。

耶和华必击打他们，也必医治他们。他们必归向耶和华，祂必应允他们的祷告，医治他们。

可是，我要使法老的心刚硬，虽然我在埃及行许多神迹奇事，

但耶和华使法老的心刚硬，不肯让以色列百姓离开。

对灭亡的人而言，这香气是叫人死亡的香气；对得救的人来说，这香气却是叫人得生命的香气。谁能担当这样的重任呢？

所以你们要悔改，归向上帝，祂将除去你们一切的罪恶，
