His source of confidence is fragile; what he trusts in is a spider’s web.He leans on his web, but it doesn’t stand firm. He grabs it, but it does not hold up.

Just as David also speaks of the blessing of the person to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:Blessed are those whose lawless acts are forgiven and whose sins are covered.Blessed is the person the Lord will never charge with sin.

Then you will not walk so proudly because it will be an evil time.

On that day I will punish all who skip over the threshold, who fill their master’s house with violence and deceit.
