耶和华远离恶人，却听义人的祷告。

列国必知道以色列人被掳走是因为他们犯罪背叛我，以致我掩面不顾他们，把他们交在敌人手中，让他们丧身刀下。我照他们的污秽和罪恶报应他们，掩面不顾他们。’

我不再掩面不顾以色列人，因为我要把我的灵浇灌在他们身上。这是主耶和华说的。’”

那时，我要向他们发怒，离弃他们，掩面不理他们。他们将被吞灭，遭遇许多祸患和灾难，以致他们会说，‘这些祸患临到我们岂不是因为上帝不在我们中间了吗？’那时，我必掩面不理他们，因为他们祭拜别的神明，行为邪恶。

“耶和华看见祂儿女的恶行，就愤然厌弃他们，说，‘这堕落的子民，不忠的儿女！我要掩面不理他们，看他们的结局如何。

他们贪婪的罪恶使我发怒，我惩罚他们，愤怒地转脸不理他们，他们却怙恶不悛。

你们一面禁食，一面争闹打斗，彼此恶拳相向。不要指望这样的禁食会使你们的祷告在天上蒙垂听。

以色列人犯了罪，违背了我吩咐他们应守的约，偷拿了本该毁灭的东西放在自己的行囊里，还撒谎。

耶和华说：“我休你们母亲的休书在哪里呢？我把你们卖给了我哪一个债主呢？你们被卖是因为你们的罪恶，你们母亲被休是因为你们的过犯。
