According to what they have done, so will he repay wrath to his enemies and retribution to his foes; he will repay the islands their due.

He will pay his enemies back for what they have done. He’ll pour his anger out on them. He’ll punish those who attack him. He’ll give the people in the islands what they have coming to them.

According to their deeds, so will he repay, wrath to his adversaries, repayment to his enemies; to the coastlands he will render repayment.

He will repay his enemies for their evil deeds. His fury will fall on his foes. He will pay them back even to the ends of the earth.

So he will repay according to their deeds: fury to his enemies, retribution to his foes, and he will repay the coasts and islands.

I, the LORD, probe into people’s minds. I examine people’s hearts. I deal with each person according to how he has behaved. I give them what they deserve based on what they have done.

The LORD is a zealous and avenging God; the LORD is avenging and very angry. The LORD takes vengeance against his foes; he sustains his rage against his enemies.

For he repays a person for his work, and according to the conduct of a person, he causes the consequences to find him.

because these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written.

The Lord fully vented his wrath; he poured out his fierce anger. He started a fire in Zion; it consumed her foundations.ל( Lamed)

He will reward each one according to his works:

For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done.

From his mouth extends a sharp sword, so that with it he can strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod, and he stomps the winepress of the furious wrath of God, the All- Powerful.

But as for these enemies of mine who did not want me to be their king, bring them here and slaughter them in front of me!’”

Therefore, the sovereign LORD who commands armies, the powerful ruler of Israel, says this:“ Ah, I will seek vengeance against my adversaries, I will take revenge against my enemies.

You prevail over all your enemies; your power is too great for those who hate you.You burn them up like a fiery furnace when you appear; the LORD angrily devours them; the fire consumes them.

And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne. Then books were opened, and another book was opened– the book of life. So the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to their deeds.The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each one was judged according to his deeds.

Indeed,” says the LORD,“ captives will be taken from a warrior; spoils will be rescued from a conqueror. I will oppose your adversary and I will rescue your children.I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh; they will get drunk on their own blood, as if it were wine. Then all humankind will recognize that I am the LORD, your deliverer, your protector, the powerful ruler of Jacob.”

The one far away will die by pestilence, the one close by will fall by the sword, and whoever is left and has escaped these will die by famine. I will fully vent my rage against them.

The LORD rewarded me for my godly deeds; he took notice of my blameless behavior.You prove to be loyal to one who is faithful; you prove to be trustworthy to one who is innocent.You prove to be reliable to one who is blameless, but you prove to be deceptive to one who is perverse.

and you, O Lord, demonstrate loyal love. For you repay men for what they do.

For look, the LORD comes with fire, his chariots come like a windstorm, to reveal his raging anger, his battle cry, and his flaming arrows.
