So justice is driven back, and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter.

So people stop others from doing what is fair. They keep them from doing what is right. No one tells the truth in court anymore. No one is honest there.

Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands far away; for truth has stumbled in the public squares, and uprightness cannot enter.

Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed.

無人按公義訴訟，無人憑誠實申辯。你們依靠詭辯，口出謊言，心懷鬼胎，生出罪惡。

因此律法失效，正義不彰，惡人包圍義人，正義被扭曲。

你們踐踏窮人，對他們橫徵暴斂。因此，你們用鑿過的石頭建房，卻不得居住在裡面；你們種植佳美的葡萄園，卻喝不到葡萄酒。

就是先知說假預言，祭司濫用權力，我的子民卻以此為樂。但當最後的結局來臨時，他們還能做什麼呢？

制定不義律例、起草不公法令的人啊，你們有禍了！你們冤枉窮人，奪去我子民中困苦者的權利，擄掠寡婦，搶劫孤兒。

他們的家裡充滿了詭詐，就像籠子裝滿了鳥。他們變得有財有勢，吃得肥胖紅潤，壞事做盡，不為孤兒伸冤，不為窮人主持公道。」

說：「你們不秉公行義，偏袒惡人要到何時呢？（細拉）你們要為窮人和孤兒主持公道，為貧寒和受壓迫的人伸張正義。要救助窮苦的人，使他們脫離惡人的欺壓。你們愚昧無知，行在黑暗中，大地的根基搖動。

他們貪贓枉法，坑害無辜。

我又看到日光之下，即使在公道和正義之地也有邪惡。

雅各家的首領，以色列家的統治者啊，你們要聽！你們厭惡正義，顛倒是非；以血腥建立錫安，以罪惡建造耶路撒冷。城裡的首領為貪贓而枉法，祭司為銀子而施教，先知為錢財而占卜。他們卻宣稱倚靠耶和華，說：「耶和華不是在我們當中嗎？災禍不會臨到我們。」

耶路撒冷啊，你這忠貞的妻子竟變成了妓女！你從前充滿公平，是公義之家，現在卻住著兇手。

這叛逆、污穢、充滿壓迫的城有禍了！她不聽命令，不受管教；不倚靠耶和華，不親近她的上帝。她的首領是咆哮的獅子，她的審判官是夜間的豺狼，不留一點獵物到天明。

他們善於作惡。領袖和審判官索要賄賂，顯貴袒露心中的惡慾，朋比為奸。他們當中最好的不過是蒺藜，最正直的也不過是荊棘籬笆。你們的守望者所說的日子，就是你們受懲罰的日子已經來到。你們必驚慌失措。不要相信鄰居，不要信賴朋友，即使對你懷中的妻子也要守口如瓶。

你們這些使正義變為苦艾、將公義丟棄在地的人啊，
