他以眼传神，用脚示意，用指头指点，

耶和华的眼睛看顾义人，他的耳朵垂听他们的呼求。耶和华的脸敌对作恶的人，要把他们的名从世上除掉。义人哀求，耶和华就垂听，搭救他们脱离一切患难，

他求告我，我必应允他；他在患难中，我必与他同在；我必拯救他，使他得尊荣。

“你们祈求，就给你们；寻找，就寻见；叩门，就给你们开门。因为凡祈求的就得着，寻找的就寻见，叩门的就给他开门。

他们彼此说谎，用谄媚的嘴唇说话，口是心非。

如果我心里偏向罪孽，主必不听；神却垂听了，他留心听了我祷告的声音。

你要以耶和华为乐，他就把你心里所求的赐给你。

所以你们张开双手的时候，我必掩眼不看你们；即使你们多多祷告，我也不听；你们的手都沾满血腥。

锡安的人民、耶路撒冷的居民哪！你们必不再哭泣。他必因你哀求的声音恩待你；他听见的时候，就必应允你。

你们戏弄谁呢？你们张大嘴巴，伸长舌头戏弄谁呢？你们不是悖逆的孩子吗？不是虚谎的后裔吗？

我在急难中求告耶和华，他就应允我，使我站在宽阔之地。

我所拣选的禁食不是这样吗？不是要松开凶恶的锁链，解开轭上的绳索，使被压迫的获得自由，折断所有的轭吗？

就是悖逆、否认耶和华，转去不跟从我们的神，说欺压和背道的话，心里怀着谎言，随即说出来；

因为偶像所说的是空言，占卜者所见的是虚谎，他们所说的是假梦，只给人空洞的安慰。因此，众人都如羊没有牧人，流离困苦。

雅各来到他父亲那里，说：“我父啊！”以撒说：“我在这里，我儿啊，你是谁？”

因为你们的手沾满了血，你们的指头被罪孽玷污，你们的嘴唇说虚谎的话，你们的舌头讲出凶言。没有人按公义求告，没有人凭诚实争辩；他们都倚靠虚无，说虚谎的话；所怀的是毒害，所生的是罪孽。

因此，主耶和华这样说：“因为你们所说的是虚假，所见的是欺诈，因此我就攻击你们。这是主耶和华的宣告。

耶和华呼唤撒母耳，他说：“我在这里。”他就跑到以利那里，说：“你呼唤我，我在这里。”以利说：“我没有呼唤你，回去睡吧。”他就回去睡了。耶和华再次呼唤撒母耳，他就起来走到以利那里，说：“你呼唤我，我在这里。”以利说：“我儿，我没有呼唤你，回去睡吧。”那时撒母耳还没有认识耶和华，因为耶和华的话还没有向他启示。耶和华第三次呼唤撒母耳，他又起来，走到以利那里，说：“你呼唤我，我在这里。”以利就明白是耶和华呼唤这孩子。
