耶和華的眼睛看顧義人，祂的耳朵垂聽他們的呼求。耶和華嚴懲作惡之人，從世上剷除他們。義人向耶和華呼救，祂就垂聽，拯救他們脫離一切患難。

他求告我，我就答應他；他遭遇患難，我必與他同在。我必拯救他，賜他尊貴的地位。

「祈求，就會給你們；尋找，就會尋見；叩門，就會給你們開門。因為凡祈求的，就得到；尋找的，就尋見；叩門的，就給他開門。

人人謊話連篇，花言巧語，口是心非。

倘若我心中藏匿罪惡，主必不垂聽我的呼求。然而，上帝聽了我的禱告，傾聽了我的祈求。

要以耶和華為樂，祂必成全你的願望。

你們舉手禱告，我必掩面不理。即使你們禱告再多，我也不會聽，因為你們雙手沾滿鮮血。

住在耶路撒冷的錫安百姓啊，你們必不再哭泣。祂聽到你們的呼求後必恩待你們；祂聽見後必應允你們。

你們在嘲笑誰，向誰吐舌頭呢？你們難道不是悖逆的兒女、詭詐的子孫嗎？

我在苦難中求告耶和華，祂就答應我，救我脫離困境。

「『我要的禁食是，除去罪惡的鎖鏈，解開軛上的繩索，折斷一切的軛，使受欺壓的人得到自由，

我們悖逆，否認耶和華，離棄我們的上帝，說欺壓、叛逆的話，吐露心中編織的謊言。

因為神像說的是虛言，占卜者講的是謊話，他們說的是假夢，他們的安慰是空的。所以人們如迷失的羊，因沒有牧人而受苦。

雅各來到父親跟前，叫了一聲：「父親。」以撒回答說：「我在這裡，孩子，你是誰？」

你們的手染滿了血污，手指沾滿了罪惡。你們的嘴唇吐出謊言，舌頭嘀咕惡事。無人按公義訴訟，無人憑誠實申辯。你們依靠詭辯，口出謊言，心懷鬼胎，生出罪惡。

所以主耶和華說：「因為你們的假異象和謊言，我要攻擊你們。這是主耶和華說的。

耶和華呼喚撒母耳，撒母耳答道：「我在這裡！」他跑到以利跟前，說：「我來了，你叫我嗎？」以利說：「我沒有叫你，你去睡吧。」於是，他就回去睡覺。耶和華又呼喚撒母耳，撒母耳起來到以利跟前，說：「我來了，你叫我嗎？」以利答道：「孩子，我沒有叫你，回去睡吧。」那時，撒母耳還不認識耶和華，耶和華的話還沒有向他顯明。耶和華第三次呼喚他，撒母耳起來，到以利面前，說：「我來了，你叫我嗎？」這時候，以利才明白原來是耶和華在呼喚這孩子。
