我所選禁食之日、豈如是乎、令人苦其心志、俯首若蘆、以麻與灰、布於身下、此豈稱為禁食、為耶和華所悅納之日乎、

这样禁食岂是我所拣选、使人刻苦己心的日子吗？岂是叫人垂头像苇子，用麻布和炉灰铺在他以下吗？你这可称为禁食、为耶和华所悦纳的日子吗？

这岂是我所要的禁食，为人所用以刻苦己心的日子吗？我难道只是叫人如芦苇般低头，铺上麻布和灰烬吗？你能称此为禁食，为耶和华所悦纳的日子吗？

使人刻苦自己的日子，这样的禁食是我拣选的吗？难道只是叫人垂头像一根苇子，用麻布和炉灰铺在下面吗？你可以称这是禁食，为耶和华所悦纳的日子吗？

难道这就是我所喜悦的禁食，这就是让人刻苦己心的日子吗？难道是让人像芦苇一样垂着头，以麻布和灰烬为铺吗？难道这就是你所谓的禁食，这就是耶和华所悦纳的日子吗？

這樣禁食豈是我所揀選、使人刻苦己心的日子嗎？豈是叫人垂頭像葦子，用麻布和爐灰鋪在他以下嗎？你這可稱為禁食、為耶和華所悅納的日子嗎？

我所選擇、使人刻苦自己的日子難道是這樣的禁食麼？難道只是叫人垂頭像燈心草，拿麻布和爐灰當床鋪麼？難道你要把這樣叫做禁食，作為使永恆主悅納的日子麼？我所選擇的真禁食豈不是以下這些行為：

難道這就是我所喜悅的禁食，這就是讓人刻苦己心的日子嗎？難道是讓人像蘆葦一樣垂著頭，以麻布和灰燼為鋪嗎？難道這就是你所謂的禁食，這就是耶和華所悅納的日子嗎？

爾禁食之時、卑以自牧、屈抑若蘆、身衣麻布、坐於塗炭、我耶和華豈悅此乎。

人自刻苦、垂頭如葦、以麻布塵埃為床、如是禁食之日、豈我所悅乎、爾豈可稱為禁食乎、可視為主所悅之日乎、

Is this the kind of fast I have chosen, only a day for people to humble themselves? Is it only for bowing one’s head like a reed and for lying in sackcloth and ashes? Is that what you call a fast, a day acceptable to the Lord?

Do you think that is the way I want you to fast? Is it only a time for people to make themselves suffer? Is it only for people to bow their heads like tall grass bent by the wind? Is it only for people to lie down in ashes and clothes of mourning? Is that what you call a fast? Do you think I can accept that?

Is such the fast that I choose, a day for a person to humble himself? Is it to bow down his head like a reed, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Will you call this a fast, and a day acceptable to the Lord?

You humble yourselves by going through the motions of penance, bowing your heads like reeds bending in the wind. You dress in burlap and cover yourselves with ashes. Is this what you call fasting? Do you really think this will please the Lord?

Will the fast I choose be like this: A day for a person to deny himself, to bow his head like a reed, and to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Will you call this a fast and a day acceptable to the LORD?

Is it a fast like this that I choose, a day for a person to humble himself? Is it for bowing one’s head like a reed And for spreading out sackcloth and ashes as a bed? Will you call this a fast, even an acceptable day to the Lord?

Is it a fast that I have chosen, A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, And to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Would you call this a fast, And an acceptable day to the Lord?

Is such the fast that I have chosen? the day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head as a rush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to Jehovah?

Will the fast I choose be like this: A day for a person to deny himself, to bow his head like a reed, and to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Will you call this a fast and a day acceptable to the Lord?

Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul?[ is it] to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes[ under him]? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?

Is this really the kind of fasting I want? Do I want a day when people merely humble themselves, bowing their heads like a reed and stretching out on sackcloth and ashes? Is this really what you call a fast, a day that is pleasing to the LORD?

Is this the fast that I have chosen? A day for a man to humble his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a reed, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under himself? Will you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to Yahweh?

其告斯土之民、及諸祭司曰、爾於五月七月、禁食哭泣、歷七十年、豈為我禁食乎、

布告耶和華悅納之年、及我上帝復仇之日、慰藉憂民、

耶和華又曰、我曾於見納之時聽爾、於拯救之日助爾、我必護爾、俾與庶民立約、復興斯土、使民得荒蕪之區以為業、

我決意以禱告祈求、禁食衣麻蒙灰、尋主上帝、遂禱我上帝耶和華、認罪曰、主歟、尊大可畏之上帝、愛主而遵主命者、為之踐約施恩、我儕犯罪乖戾、行惡悖逆、離爾訓詞律例、未聽爾僕諸先知、奉爾之名告我君王、牧伯列祖、及國中庶民之言、主歟、惟爾為義、我則蒙羞、有如今日、猶大人、耶路撒冷居民、及以色列眾、因其獲罪於爾、或遠或近、被驅至於諸國、主歟、我與我之君王、牧伯列祖、因獲罪於爾、俱蒙羞恥、我主我上帝、恆懷矜憫赦宥、而我儕悖逆之、不聽我上帝耶和華之言、不行爾藉爾僕諸先知所示我之法律、以色列全族干犯爾律、轉而離爾、不聽爾言、故上帝僕摩西律中、所載之呪詛誓詞、臨於我躬、以我獲罪於上帝也、彼對我儕、及鞫我之士師所言者、今則成之、而降大災於我、耶路撒冷所遘之災、天下未嘗遭焉、斯災臨我、乃依摩西律中所載、而我猶不求恩於我上帝耶和華、棄離我之罪愆、洞悉爾之真道、故耶和華顧視、而降此災於我、蓋我上帝耶和華所行、無不公義、惟我不聽其言、主我之上帝歟、昔以巨能之手、導爾民出埃及、而得聲譽、有如今日、惟我犯罪行惡、主歟、願依爾仁義、使爾忿怒、轉離爾邑耶路撒冷、即爾聖山、今因我儕之罪、及我列祖之愆、耶路撒冷與爾民、為四周之人所辱、我上帝歟、請聽爾僕之禱告祈求、為爾之故、以爾容光、照爾荒寂之聖所、我上帝歟、求爾傾耳而聽、啟目視我荒蕪之區、及以爾名而稱之邑、我陳所祈於爾前、非因己義、乃因爾之鴻慈也、主歟、聽之、主歟、宥之、主歟、俯聽而施行之、我上帝歟、為爾之故、勿延緩、蓋斯邑斯民、俱以爾名而稱也、○

七月十日、爾之宗族、及旅於爾中者、當苦其心、免於操作、著為永例、

耶和華歟、於見納時、我祈禱爾、上帝歟、依爾慈惠之盛、拯救之誠、俞允我兮、

宣揚主悅納之年也、

爾既就之、亦如活石、築成靈室、為聖祭司、以獻靈祭、由耶穌基督而嘉納於上帝、

乃坐於灰、以片瓦搔身、

當集書珊諸猶大人、為我禁食三晝夜、不食不飲、我與侍女亦禁食、然後違例覲王、若亡則亡耳、

是月二十四日、以色列族咸集、禁食、衣麻、蒙塵、與異邦人絕交、立而自認己罪、及列祖之愆、

勿同世態、惟以心之更新而變化、致驗上帝旨、乃善而可悅、且純全者也、○

王聞婦言則裂其衣、由城垣而過、民見其內衣麻衣、

以斯拉離上帝室、詣以利亞實子約哈難室、既入、緣俘囚之罪而憂、不食不飲、

約沙法懼、決意尋求耶和華、於猶大全地、宣告禁食、

尼尼微民信上帝、宣告禁食、自尊逮卑、皆衣麻焉、斯音傳至尼尼微王、遂起、下位解袍、衣麻坐於灰塵、乃與諸伯出諭、布告尼尼微曰、或人或畜、牛羣羊羣、俱勿嘗食、勿食勿飲、人畜俱披麻、眾皆切求上帝、各轉離其惡途、去其手之強暴、

詔至各州、猶大人悲甚、禁食、哭泣、哀號、衣麻臥於灰中者眾、

彼曰、我禁食、爾不顧、我苦心、爾不知、何也、曰、爾禁食時、尚營己事、苛虐傭人、

亞哈聞言、則裂其衣、衣麻禁食、臥亦衣麻、行亦柔謹、耶和華諭提斯比人以利亞曰、亞哈自卑於我前、爾見之乎、緣此、於彼尚存之日、我不降災、迨其子時、乃降災於其家、
