彼日崇事余、求我道、詰我法、欣然詣我前、幾與行義之民、不違上帝無異。

彼眾日日尋求我、願明我道、似乎行義之民、不違其天主法度者、以義理求問於我、悅與天主相近、

For day after day they seek me out; they seem eager to know my ways, as if they were a nation that does what is right and has not forsaken the commands of its God. They ask me for just decisions and seem eager for God to come near them.

Day after day they worship me. They seem ready and willing to know how I want them to live. They act as if they were a nation that does what is right. They act as if they have not turned away from my commands. They claim to want me to give them fair decisions. They seem ready and willing to come near and worship me.

Yet they seek me daily and delight to know my ways, as if they were a nation that did righteousness and did not forsake the judgment of their God; they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near to God.

Yet they act so pious! They come to the Temple every day and seem delighted to learn all about me. They act like a righteous nation that would never abandon the laws of its God. They ask me to take action on their behalf, pretending they want to be near me.

They seek me day after day and delight to know my ways, like a nation that does what is right and does not abandon the justice of their God. They ask me for righteous judgments; they delight in the nearness of God.”

Yet they seek Me day by day and delight to know My ways, As a nation that has done righteousness And has not forsaken the ordinance of their God. They ask Me for just decisions, They delight in the nearness of God.

Yet they seek Me daily, And delight to know My ways, As a nation that did righteousness, And did not forsake the ordinance of their God. They ask of Me the ordinances of justice; They take delight in approaching God.

主曰、斯民以口親我、以脣尊我、而心則遠我、彼之畏我、乃從人所授之命耳、

自謂識上帝、行則背之、是為可憎、違逆、自絕於諸善工者、

偽善者乎、以賽亞預言指爾者誠是也、曰斯民以口尊我、而心則遠我、其拜我徒然、以所教者、乃人所命耳、

雅各家、以以色列名而稱、自猶大源而出者、其聽我言、爾指耶和華之名而誓、稱揚以色列之上帝、惟非以誠以義、蓋彼自稱為聖邑之民、恃以色列之上帝、名為萬軍之耶和華也、

故宜去諸污穢惡慝、以謙和承所種之道、即能救爾靈者、惟宜行道、不第聞之而自欺也、

彼乃燈、燃且明也、爾暫喜其光、

惡者之祭、為耶和華所惡、正人之祈、為其所悅、

爾行詐以自害、因爾遣我詣爾上帝耶和華曰、為我禱我上帝耶和華、凡我上帝耶和華所言者、悉以告我、我必行之、

謂先知耶利米曰、容我遺民所求、陳於爾前、請爾為我禱爾上帝耶和華、我儕素眾、今所遺者甚寡、如爾目睹、

既至、謂之曰、夫子、我知爾乃誠者、不徇乎人、蓋不以貌取人、而誠以上帝道訓人者也、納稅於該撒宜否、我儕納乎否乎、

因希律敬畏約翰、知其義且聖、而庇之、聞其言、心多猶豫、而喜聽之、

人子歟、爾民族在垣墉之側、門閾之間論爾、彼此相語曰、其來聽耶和華所出之言、彼詣爾所、如民來集、坐於爾前、若為我民、聽爾言而不行之、其口多顯仁愛、心則逐利、彼之視爾、若善謳者歌其情詞、若善樂者操其妙音、彼聽爾言、而不行之、所言必成、既成之時、彼則知有先知在其中矣、

爾以此言告我、耶和華悉聞之、諭我曰、我聞斯民所語於爾、皆善言也、願其存心畏我、恆守我誡、俾受福祉、爰及子孫、歷世靡暨、

耶和華曰、爾獻祭品眾多、與我何與、牡羊之燔祭、肥畜之脂膏、我已厭之、犢血羔血、與牡山羊之血、我不悅之、爾來覲我、踐我院宇、誰命之者、虛有之禮物、勿復獻之、馨香我所憎、月朔安息集會為可惡、作惡而守肅會、我不容之、爾之月朔節期、我心惡之、以為重負、倦於擔荷、爾舉手、我則掩目、爾多禱、我不俯聽、爾手盈以血也、

夫人既蒙光照、得承天賚、共與聖神、且承上帝嘉言、及來世之權能、後若離棄、則不能使之更新而改悔、因其復釘上帝子於十架而顯辱之、

近上帝、上帝則近爾、干罪者淨乃手、二心者潔乃心、

爾既霑主之仁澤、去諸惡慝、詭譎、偽善、媢嫉、毀謗、宜如甫生之嬰、戀純而合宜之乳、使爾由之漸長、以至蒙救、

播於磽地者、乃人聽道、即欣受之、但內無根、則亦暫耳、及患難窘逐、因道而興、即厭棄矣、

惟所獲當滅之牛羊、民取其嘉者、欲在吉甲、以祭爾上帝耶和華、撒母耳曰、耶和華豈喜燔祭及他祭、如喜聽其言乎、夫順服愈於祭祀、聽從愈於羊脂、違逆與卜筮同罪、頑梗與拜偶像事家神同科、爾棄耶和華命、耶和華亦棄爾、不使為王、掃羅曰、我干罪矣、我畏斯民、聽從其言、故違耶和華命、及爾之言、今則請赦我罪、偕我旋歸、俾我崇拜耶和華、
