由爾所出者、必復建久已荒蕪之所、復築累代傾圮之基、爾必稱為彌補罅隙者、修理道途者、使民得居境內、

Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

Your people will rebuild the cities that were destroyed long ago. And you will build again on the old foundations. You will be called One Who Repairs Broken Walls. You will be called One Who Makes City Streets Like New Again.

And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.

Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities. Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes.

Some of you will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will restore the foundations laid long ago; you will be called the repairer of broken walls, the restorer of streets where people live.

“ In that day I will rebuild the collapsing hut of David. I will seal its gaps, repair its ruins, and restore it to what it was like in days gone by.

I will bring back my people, Israel; they will rebuild the cities lying in rubble and settle down. They will plant vineyards and drink the wine they produce; they will grow orchards and eat the fruit they produce.

Then I said to them,“ You see the problem that we have: Jerusalem is desolate and its gates are burned. Come on! Let’s rebuild the wall of Jerusalem so that this reproach will not continue.”

“‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: In the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will populate the cities and the ruins will be rebuilt.

“‘ But you, mountains of Israel, will grow your branches, and bear your fruit for my people Israel; for they will arrive soon.For indeed, I am on your side; I will turn to you, and you will be plowed and planted.I will multiply your people– the whole house of Israel, all of it. The cities will be populated and the ruins rebuilt.I will increase the number of people and animals on you; they will increase and be fruitful. I will cause you to be inhabited as in ancient times, and will do more good for you than at the beginning of your history. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

Certainly the LORD will console Zion; he will console all her ruins. He will make her wilderness like Eden, her desert like the Garden of the LORD. Happiness and joy will be restored to her, thanksgiving and the sound of music.

and said to the king,“ If the king is so inclined and if your servant has found favor in your sight, dispatch me to Judah, to the city with the graves of my ancestors, so that I can rebuild it.”

who commissions Cyrus, the one I appointed as shepherd to carry out all my wishes and to decree concerning Jerusalem,‘ She will be rebuilt,’ and concerning the temple,‘ It will be reconstructed.’”

“ Indeed a time is coming,” says the LORD,“ when the city of Jerusalem will be rebuilt as my special city. It will be built from the Tower of Hananel westward to the Corner Gate.

( 3: 33) Now when Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall he became angry and was quite upset. He derided the Jews,and in the presence of his colleagues and the army of Samaria he said,“ What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they be left to themselves? Will they again offer sacrifice? Will they finish this in a day? Can they bring these burnt stones to life again from piles of dust?”Then Tobiah the Ammonite, who was close by, said,“ If even a fox were to climb up on what they are building, it would break down their wall of stones!”Hear, O our God, for we are despised! Return their reproach on their own head! Reduce them to plunder in a land of exile!Do not cover their iniquity, and do not wipe out their sin from before them. For they have bitterly offended the builders!So we rebuilt the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height. The people were enthusiastic in their work.( 4: 1) When Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites, and the people of Ashdod heard that the restoration of the walls of Jerusalem had moved ahead and that the breaches had begun to be closed, they were very angry.

In unison give a joyful shout, O ruins of Jerusalem! For the LORD consoles his people; he protects Jerusalem.

This is what the LORD says:“ At the time I decide to show my favor, I will respond to you; in the day of deliverance I will help you; I will protect you and make you a covenant mediator for people, to rebuild the land and to reassign the desolate property.

So know and understand: From the issuing of the command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until an anointed one, a prince arrives, there will be a period of seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will again be built, with plaza and moat, but in distressful times.

When Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab, and the rest of our enemies heard that I had rebuilt the wall and no breach remained in it( even though up to that time I had not positioned doors in the gates),

therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the sovereign LORD: This is what the sovereign LORD says to the mountains and hills, the ravines and valleys, and to the desolate ruins and the abandoned cities that have become prey and an object of derision to the rest of the nations round about–
